Best sizes for 19's on G37S sedan?
Whats up guys? I need wheels for my sedan and I've been culling the threads around here but want to make sure I get it right the first time. I decided to with 19's because 18's are bit small and 20's are a bit too big for my intended use. I'm thinking forgestar f14's and the offset I've been recommended from vendors are 19x8.5 +32 for the front and 19x10+ 38 for the rear. I plan on doing an eibach drop so with that in mind what is the flushest I can go without having to roll fenders and without running over the top negative camber/super stretched tires.
Thanks. |

Thanks. My fronts are 19x8.5 +32, and they're currently very flush to the vertical plane of the front fender at OEM height, no drop. I suspect they will no longer be flush after being lowered. IDK... like I said, I'll find out in a few weeks. Normally I don't weigh in to threads like this, but since I've got the same size wheels, and this is what has been going on in my life lately, well, here I am. The very fact that I'm using words like flush, drop and poke is making me feel like a moron. (sigh) :thewave: F14's are attractive, lightweight and reasonably priced. Good choice. |
Depends what tires your planning. IMO 8.5 +35 running 245/40/19 Front and 10" +45 running 285/35/19 is just about perfect. Check my garage pics for a similar setup. Just be sure whatever front wheel offset you get that they clear the big calipers, I think F14s will clear w/ +35 but check w/ vendor for sure prior to your order.

My front wheels are 19x8.5 +32, and there is literally a 2-credit card separation of space between the spokes and the Akebono BBK caliper. :eek3: It kind of freaks me out, only having 1/8" clearance, but I'm getting used to it. |
I can get my hand on some f14's that are 19x9 +35 for the front and 19x10+42 for the rear. Sound reasonable? My main concern is will they clear the akebonos and will there be any rubbing issues? Thanks.

Since you do not have the Sport brakes our 19x8.5/19x10 +32/38 would fit perfectly with 245/40/19 & 275/35/19s. We also have CVT available with a rear 19x10 +42.

I do have sport brakes.

We just released 19" CV7's as well :)

Actually, now that I'm seeing these CVT's on my car, I love how they look. And hopefully will love them even more after I get these Swift springs installed. Dealing with Need4Speed on this one defective TPMS, however... that's a different matter entirely. Jury is still out on that one. |

That's a better combo, run 245/40/19 front & 275/35/19 rear on those wheels and you'll be golden! Might contact GetYourWhels about clearing the brakes, they should though, the F14s spokes don't go back into the wheel as much as a lot of others.

Just contacted Forgestar and while they didn't say no, they did not recommend the front sizes because of brake clearance. Hmmm.
I feel for you, OP. AFAIK, the Enkie RSM9 clears the BBK in 19" trim. Not the prettiest rim, but lightweight and strong. And although the F14 is very lightweight, there are horror stories to be found about that model cracking with abuse. Of course, any rim will bend or crack with enough abuse. |
Mainly want to stick to forgestars because of the look. Anyone have 19x9 +35 on the front with sport brakes?

Why not go with 20s?
