Aftermarket 18's
 

Anyone have aftermarket 18's? Currently have 20's, had 19" oem rays, looking to get 18's with a meatier tire with thicker sidewall. Just want to make sure it doesn't look too small.

You will have to run a pretty meaty tire to fill up the fender. It might look on the smaller side for a G. I have 19s with a 275/35 rear and 245/40 front and it is pretty meaty looking

MACS has 18" Enkie RPFI rims on his Sedan.

If it's weight reduction you're going for, I'm not familiar with any other super lightweight, 18" wheel that will clear the Akebono front calipers.

If it's looks that stoke your priorities, wheels that "seem" small or large is more a matter of perception than actual dimensions. I believe that rim designs which extend the spokes to the lip *seem* larger than otherwise... like the OEM 18" duckfeet, also made by Enkie.

i have 18" tsw nurburgrings on my sedan and they do look a bit small, 19's would be better i think

Rock some Volk TE37s and I doubt anyone would say they're too small :)

I love how one guy on the whole forum has aftermarket 18's in a sea of ugly tasteless 20's :p. I think a nice set of fitted 19's is best, but im sure proper offset 18 with wider tire and flush stance looks just fine.

Lol glad I wasn't the one to have to bring it up. I think G owners (sedan and coupe) in general have notoriously poor taste in rims (Gs on the road in general). I'm not hating on any particular style or anything, but just selections that in no way complement the looks of the car at all.

I realize this can be said about any other type of car, guess I just notice Gs more...

But I agree that a 18" wheel (shoot for a design with spokes that spread to the very outer diameter of the wheel, like the OZ ultraleggera) could look great if sized properly (offset and width), especially with a nice drop

This is my 2011 G37x with stock suspension. Wheels are UltraLeggra 18s. Rotors are StopTech. Tires are All season Bridgestones. Tints are 19%. Infiniti Midnight Grill. (Just stating all the stuff added, people tend to ask :) )

The Black G35 has 18s as well. Oz Racing. Forgot the name of those wheels. Journey Non Sport Stock suspension.

In case anyone wonders, the wheels are 17 pounds a piece. I believe the stocks are over 20 pounds for the 17inch.

I suspect you have a lot of 18" options if you don't have the big brakes.

OP didn't say, which likely means he/she doesn't.

Couldn't find a good pic of a G Sedan w/ 18s but this should suffice, don't look too small to me :biggthumpup:
These can be found sometimes on Ebay for under $1600 and weight like 16 pounds.
