I'll let the public choose what color to paint factory 19s.

First of all I'm pretty much against painted factory stock wheels. I'm going to refinish the wheel to the factory color because I have curb rashes/clear coat peeling. But before doing that I'm going to do a color for fun. I decided for fun I'll let the public choose what color to do. I'm going to ride on it for a week-month before I re-do it to the factory finish.

No black nor gloss black as I', not a fan of the black on black look. Nothing outrageous like pink as well.

So far I have 2 votes on white. Some other options in my head are gold, bronze, gunmetal, different shade of silver?

Here's the car to get an idea. Vote away. No poll added.

Gunmetal, in fact you should just have the rims repaired and get them powdercoated gunmetal, would look great on your black coupe. Factory finish is nice but so common and if you're going to pay to get them back to that finish might as well get it done in something more unique.

i recently paid a small fortune to have 1 of my wheels refinished in the factory hypersilver.
later after seeing some powder coated dark grey/ gunmetal i regretted that i hadn't gone that route instead. probably wouldn't have cost much more to get all 4 done than what i paid for 1 in the factory hypersilver.

so my vote: gunmetal.

Color preference is purely subjective. Choose what you like because you'll be stuck with it for a while.

Having said that, I'd keep it stock on a black car, nice contrast.

I vote Gunmetal ... Matt or SimiGloss... powder coated $380 for the Set in CA.... they also have a Gold flake GunMetal and a White Flake GunMetal... a Shop in the City of industry in LA is redoing my CV5's not saying the one off color till their back on... lol

But they Charge a fair price just on Standard colors... the gold and white Gunmetal is two stage... shot gunmetal then a choice of simi, matt or Gloss clear with a pearlistic flake... cool looking yet not breakin your pocket...

Ya I know color preference is purely subjective. That's why I said I'm going to re-do them either way.

Anyways I'm doing these myself and not powder coating them. That's why I'm going to play with a color for a week-month. Method I'm going is plasti-dip and than spraying over it. We'll see how it turns out. If its not any better than what it is now I'll peel it off.

Gunmetal sure seems popular.

Thanks Calvin. Couldn't have done it w/o ya. Did the new car finally come?

Hey man... do a black chrome or a dark sliver with a little fine pearl/metallic add in the clear coat. By the way what coil overs are you running and spacers?
