I'm considering swapping out my IPL 19" stock wheels...
Hi guys,
I'm considering swapping out my IPL 19" stock wheels for 20x9 and 20x10.5 Vossen's VVSCV3 CVE Concave Matt Silver !
I would really prefer not to drop the car or mess with spacers or the suspension of the car...
My concerns are :
1.Will I have to change other thing besides the wheels?
2.Will it impact handling and feel ?
3.What will performance be better or worse ?
4.What are the possible downsides?
What are the real advantages other than great looks?
Thanks you very much beforehand folks....

1. Techincally as long as you get the right offset all you need is new wheels and tires of coarse. However you IPL will look lifted without lowering it.
2. The ride will be bumpier since your tires will be a lower profile
3. Performance might be a little worse as the wheels are larger and will weigh more than your stock forged wheels which are very light.
4. Advantages are your you'll have new wheels and a car that doesnt look stock.
Personally I would get higher performance wheels if you are concerned with performance. Like Volks, Advans, Works, SSR, BC, HRE etc. These are forged like your stocks and very light and strong. Vossens are sick wheels but they are more for just looks.

1. You don't "have" to. But I wouldn't do it if you don't plan on lowering your car. It just won't look right.
2. It will get worse compared to what you have now.
3. Worse. You're going from forged to heavier lower pressure cast 20" wheels.
4. Other then what's listed above..probably a little worse mpg..
An advantage would be not looking stock and you have a wheel brand that is pretty popular in the east coast.

Pm Diego on Specs... I have a 2012 G37s and Running 10.5's all 4 corners... though I'm on a coil set up.. he can Recommend the offsets youll need to make what you want work... Diego helped me set mine up and with the help of Need4Speed... I love my CV'5's but I'm on the WEST COAST
he'll chime in too... Good Luck!

That being said , I'm kinder leaning to what BluestickG is saying and I will certainly contact Arman or Edgar at Need4Speed Motorsports.

Only real improvement would be having wider tires on the pavement and possibly the stiffer sidewall, but as far as looks, not so much
Good luck OP... either way its your car enjoy...
Wouldn't take much of a drop to make a nice difference in the overall look. How much lower is the IPL?
I asked this before when I started looking for coilovers. I thought the IPL sat lower than S, but apparently only the shocks and spring rates are different. The springs are the same height as S. However, both IPL and S are lower than non-sport.
