Every Member Listed His/Her Location!

It is very "annoying" to see a post saying something about: "the weather here," "drove up by the so-and-so today," and the reader hasn't a clue about what's going on where!!! ... then you look at "profile" and no info there either. This lack of a State and City is not good.

Plea to all the Mods and the Admin Staff: 'Send a message to the entire membership asking that this information be shown, and give reasons why this is a GOOD Idea!' This forum would be so much better for it! Don't know if making it mandatory would be the right way -- leave nonlist as open option, but PLEAD to add Location Info!

The members list is available to you as well, how about you send out 1,700PMs!?

While I agree it is great to see where our members are from, we are not going to request that they provide that information. Maybe a few hundred people will see this and decide it's a good idea.. I always seem to find myself asking those who don't have their location posted where they are from.. Sounds like a good idea to me!

 

the forums ahve a function for you to send all users who accept PM's a message. you guys could use it but im not sure if location validates a mass email to all.

 

Figured that might be possible but lets not do that.

Counterpoint is that many people don't want everyone in cyberspace to know where they live for a variety if good reasons. It should be voluntary.

How I do see your point for wanting to know where people are from that start those kind of threads, I don't really see it as anyone's business where the hell I'm from unless I choose to share it. It should be left as an option, or people may fib as to where they are from...

Also, I live in Alaska and have chains on my G37S's tires right now.
