Quick question- when you are assembling these, do you bend the end of the el strip down through the plastic, drill a hole and just run the wires through the end, or???

basically how do you avoid (the acrylic) not sitting flat if the el-wire connection is on top of the sill plate?

Yeah, just cut a little notch for the thicker end of the EL wire to come through. I think I put a picture on the original DIY post. Then it'll sit totally flush.

What I think would be that pic will not display - there's 3 or 4 that don't load.

Oh that's weird... I'll try to find the original photos and reup them.

Basically you need to cut a little square out right next to where the white clip goes, then have the thick end of the EL come through that.

Bump for an awesome product. I got mine installed on my coupe. The red EL when off is a real close match to the G’s Vibrant Red color, then at night it lights up perfect and looks great. I will try to get a good pic that does it justice at night. Directions were spot on. Thanks!!
