The FI u may have heard could possibly have had HFC which to me makes it raspy, without HFC FI is quite deep and has a mean growl!

I listened to the clip on FI's website for the Intimidator. They don't have on for the canister mufflers. It sounds good at idle, but at high rpm, it sounds high-pitched.

I haven't heard any in person bc no one around here has one on their G37. Elite just removed his Y-pipe but I don't like it.

Ok....let me ask a newbie question.....why do most aftermarket exhausts have that popping/farting sound? I know they're called "fart cans" for a reason. I think I've read on here that it's basically due to the backpressure differences between OEM and the new aftermarket. I could hear it on those vids above from nogoodname007....I was just hoping one of you pros could explain it a little better. If I get an aftermarket exhaust, I would like to stay away from the farting sound if possible.
