Seibon TS style CF hood painted
 

Selling my TS style vented CF hood. It is in like-new condition with no chips or dings. The hood has been sprayed with clear coat as well to prevent the epoxy from yellowing. The vents are left Cf and the rest is painted PG.

All hardware that came with the hood will be included. I can also provide instructions on how to make the hood fit like OEM (extra hardware included).

A new Seibon TS style vented CF hood is about $650
Paint + clear coat was $300
Total: $950

This is ideally for somebody with a PG car so it's just direct install with no paint required. Asking price is $399:hello:

Haha thanks guys. The plan is to change up the look. I have 2 routes in mind, might go with the more conservative one for the cleaner look right now and keep the second one for the future. One of the also a lot more costly than the other :/

I think the hood can still be painted, just that the PG would be sanded down. But I don't have a box to ship it :o

just curious, you can remove that paint and turn it back to the way it used to be (All CF), right??

Haha, that's why I'm trying to keep it local.

And yes, I think you just have to sand it down and reshoot it with clear coat to restore it.

Estimating:
A brand new hood + new paint: $650 + $250 = $850-$900

This hood with new paint: $400 + $250 = $650, depending on your body shop.


PS. There will not be any more price drops. I'm also in no hurry to sell this since it'll go to a friend if there's no buyer.

removing paint is easy too, buy a chemical paint stripper and with a careful job, your all set, sounds like a fun project.................se we expect a DIY from you KennethG37S soon? :D

hahaha I wanted it so bad since I've seen danny's car.. am just wondering what do you do if it's raining? I'm talking about water goes into the vents

water goes through my vents and i just open the hood and wipe the water off the battery cover, brake cover and engine cover, it doesn't get my stock airbox wet and it shouldn't get the aftermarket filters wet either, and even if it get's wet it won't affect it unless it's submerged in water.

its not enough to do any damage...the engine is made to be water resistant (like a watch, it can get wet just not submerged in water)

the only thing i'm worried about is CAI ..

I've got the Stillen Gen3, and have been in torential downpours where the filter guards kept the filters pretty much dry...I can't imagine that enough water would go through the vents to make it to the CAI to be a problem.

Again, unless you submerge the CAI in water there shouldn't be a problem
