G37 Limp mode, P1607, P1092, P1089, and P1608

2011 G37 Journey Coupe auto with 140k miles.

Hello, this is my first time posting so forgive me if didn’t format the post right. So the other day when I started my car, it didn’t have any throttle response, car wouldn’t go above 1000rpm even when the accelerated was fully pressed.

A service engine light did come on which wasn’t there earlier. But, after a while when I tried to drive the car again it was fine but still with the CEL. I then drive the car for a week without any issues but same thing happened again when I tried to drive the car again after a short drive.

I got the CEL read and got the codes P1607, P1092, P1089, and P1608. These are the codes for VVEL iirc. So, what do you guys recommend I should do? I’m a noob when it comes to cars.
Also, I did notice a strange noise from the drivers side when stating the car. This noise is only present when the car goes into limp mode.

TLDR: car goes into limp mode sometimes and gave the codes P1607, P1092, P1089, and P1608. Any help would be much appreciated.

Yeah, it was the VVEL, water got in there somehow and shorted it. Had to replace it and also got the sensors reprogrammed. I didn’t take it to a dealer but to a shop who had experience with it. Cost me $1000 in total, but you can get the vvel on eBay for like $60 which would make repair much cheaper but not sure if those will work.

Hey sorry to bother you I'm having the same issue. I got water in the harness and ran it. The next day everything broke. What did you do to fix it? I know you already explained it but it wasn't very detailed. What did you replace?

Thanks
