Poor Man's Consult III

The thread on resetting the mixture ratio self-learning value got me doing some research on how to do the things that a Consult III can do without dropping $7k or more.
I found a cool tool from a company called AutoEnginuity . Their scanner has all the features of a regular OBD-II scanner for $250 bucks. With the additional $150 dollar enhanced Nissan expansion pack, you get all of the enhanced Nissan sensor data and the enhanced command set. It currently does not have all of the 08 set, but I was told by their support that it will be out in December. The upgrade is no fee for the first 12 months. The enhanced data set for 08 will include the mixture ratio self-learning value reset.
It also reads all of the CAN sensor data from ABS to Airbag to Transmission.
All in all a nice tool to have for tuning and diagnostics. It is PC, Palm or Pocket PC based. I think the expansion packs with the enhancements are only available on the PC version. They also have wireless options as well.

so this tool will allow you to reset those values? I found several tools that will display the learned values, and the fuel trims, but not allow you to reset, or delete them so they can be relearned. This toll will allow you to clear them??

It supports the full factory command set including starting and running self diagnostics, etc. The catch is that they won't release the '08 vehicle update until December. It is my understanding that the release will include the mixture ratio self-learning value reset command as well as all of the other '08 specific commands.
