Very desirable and rare color as well.

Essentially a new used car.

Who installed the Stillen supercharger?

AFAIK, there never was a color called Black Pearl. Isn't that Malbec Black?

Crazy low miles, single owner, Stillen SC on a 6MT Vert... this sale should go real quick.

good question....The door code is GAC. I tried looking that up and got "black pearl" on some website. I just looked on another site, and it labeled it the "Malbec Black Mettalic", so you might be right...

Thanks.

Would you consider trading for a sedan 6mt? I'm assuming it's tuned with ECUTEK. Have a dyno sheet?

It was definitely tuned. It gets around 480HP to the rear. Does 0-60 in about 4 seconds.

The Stillen kit is rated at 480-520 bhp at the crank, not wheels. I'd love to see some instrumentation on 0-60 in 4 seconds, unless you are running a different pulley. For the record, I have a Stillen supercharged G37 6MT. With tuning I ended up at 400bhp wheel, ~460bhp or so crank... with dynos there is always guessing for parasitic losses. I have telemetry from tracking my Cayman, but I am pending replacing my clutch master and slave so my shifts are slow. Another G owner with the Stillen had a timeslip from a quarter mile at 12.9 seconds, I forget the trap speed.

A very nice car, good luck with the sale!

Interested in the car.

The Supercharger concerns me re:engine longevity. Welcome your thoughts.

You'd probably have to ask a real "expert" on that, but from my research, it all depends on "how" they are installed. For example, when the supercharger was installed on this car, they added an oil pan upgrade to hold 7 quarts instead of the standard 5 (extra oil required for supercharger). If the supercharger is installed by someone who doesn't "know what they are doing", I would be immensely concerned.

These upgrades were done by Z1 motorsports (https://www.z1motorsports.com/). They've been in business for a long time, and as you can see from their website, they specialize in this model (plus a few more). It wasn't done by Firestone, or by some Infiniti mechanic who wanted some extra power.

I'm sure it might decrease the lifespan of the engine overall (it would probably HAVE to), but at 20k miles, I would assume you'd have at least another 150 - 200k before you'd have issues. This was never raced or anything....

The Stillen kit uses a Vortex V3 supercharger. The oil is unique to the supercharger and not shared with the engine. It is strongly suggested to add an oil cooler onto the car to handle the extra engine thermal load, which is what I think you are referencing? But the supercharger oil is contained in the supercharger and drain tube and not shared. It required changes at 7500 miles and costs about the $20? $25? for the bottle. The process is simple.

I agree with the assessment of Z1 installation and reputation.

A centrifugal supercharger like the Vortec v3/Stillen kit will add parasitic drag, reduce mileage, and add some vibration to the powertrain. There is a harmonic about at 2000rpm but it is slight and not an issue for a manual car, I assume and auto wouldn't even run into it with the OD. It is present on all cars. I get about 20 mpg in mixed driving, 22-23mpg in highway long cruses, and drop to 17 or 18 mpg if I am backroads carving and really hammer it hard and for a while.

I agree it will add stress and will shorten the engine life. The more you keep your foot into it you'll burn the fuel and add some wear. I had mine installed at 58k miles and she's at 70k now.

The benefits of the kit are that have a large swell of torque from about 2000rpm through 4000-5000rpm and the car is dramatically, driveably, faster and more enjoyable. Peak power reduces from ~7100-7200rpm to about 6700pm. Effectively, you get better acceleration with less throttle and you can spin the engine less. It will wind out to 7500 but with all the torque there's no need.

Noise wise, the Vortec V3 has an idle rattle from the gears, you won't hear it from within your car. Under throttle or moving you get a teeny tiny supercharger whine, not intrusive, you normally need a lot of throttle and some the windows to be down. The Stillen exhaust has a nice burble and small lope at idle, I do not find it too loud and I am picky about HOLY GOD LOUD exhausts.

I hope this helps you decide. I very much enjoy my kit, completely improves the character of the engine.

Good luck,

Rick

Nice, sounds like you know a TON more than I do about the mods. I bought it already "modded", so I just get to enjoy the extra rumble and speed from the supercharger...I wish I knew more about it in general, but I have enjoyed it!!
