Custom Magnaflow (axle back only)-Review

With the lack of availability of axle-back applications, combined with the cost of a full catback system, I was able to justify going to a local muffler shop this weekend, and made a custom axle-back with a Magnaflow muffler.

Review-
Sound is great. Surprisingly quiet at idle. Noticeably higher exhaust note at WOT and exactly what a lot of us are looking for from this modification. Haven't noticed much droning when cruising, unless you have your back seat down.
As for Butt Dyno. Feels like a slight loss on the low-end, but it does feel like it picks up the slack on the way from mid to high-range. (opinion only).
As for look. I think the alignment, welding, and finish (esp. with the painted piping) all came out great for a custom job. I wanted the same oval/slanted tips, but settled for round/slanted due to availability. Other than that, great.
Overall, i'm happy with my choice.

Some Pics-

If someone can explain the easiest way to post a video, I have a "decent" one for a sound clip.

Good job and good review. Post the vid on photobucker or youtube and then just post the link here. You won't be able to have the video play in the thread in this part of the forum.

Thank you.

I'm actually uploading it to Photobucket now, but it's taking forever.

Video Clip

Here's a clip. Although the mic on my digi cam is obviously not the best, this video shows that the exhaust really opens up at open throttle, but is pretty tame at idol and cruise.

400 plus tax for the custom axle back magnaflow is almost the same price as the full catback magnaflow for 530

^^^ haha smartypants are you?

my point being, I would rather pay 130 dollars more and get a full catback compared to an 400 dollar axle back.

good stuff either way
