Recommend having a Canadian parts/cars for sale section. Looks ridiculous when I'm asking 7-10 grand more (not really, just the dollar) for my coupe than all the others (from the US), regardless of the fact that after a bit of checking, most people can figure it out. The guy in FL,TX, or CA probably is not interested in my car, either.
Thus the Canucks try to get some readily seen info out to real potential buyers by using the CDN forum.

Good idea Derek, but we'll have to wait for the new site.

Only GodZilla has access to change that part of the site (here) and I doubt he'll want to spend time doing that now.

Any free time he gets now, he's busy with the changeover to V-Bulletin.

I'm hoping we can have more Canadian oriented for sales on the new site to help differentiate our stuff from all the rest.

The only suggestion I have for now is to print "CANADIAN'' and "IN CANADIAN $" in large letters on your ads to help our Canuck buyers.

Once we get switched over, I'm sure we can do something.

I thought I share my successful experience with the Parts/Accessories section:

I picked up an OEM SIRIUS kit in brand new, complete condition + The mini antenna for an unblieveable price of US $220 shipped priority mail.
If I were to buy it from Grubbs, I would have had to spend 285 just for the kit and another 67 bucks for the antenna (which is 40 bucks on TheZEB.com anyways!) and + around 30-35 bucks shipping and another 30-40 bucks for brokerage and cutoms fees.

So simply put, I saved over 180 bucks by using the classified section of G35Driver.com :-) Pretty sweet, eh?

Of course, just like buying from Ebay you have to be careful of what you are doing but in my case I PayPal'd 220 after exchanging a few emails and doing a little bit of investigative work :-), but if you have any doubts or you are to do a high profile purchase, it's safer to ask the seller to list it on Ebay and do a private auction (where he has to approve sellers) and you can "bid/buy it now" the item and get the protection Ebay and PayPal offer.

 

Good points Payam. If you're not sure who you're dealing with, check around....somebody will know. Otherwise you're wise not to deal with strangers.
When you do a deal, go with Paypal, CC which will afford some protection against fraud.

Congrats Payam on your tight purchase. The Parts/Accessories forum is well 'travelled' and a great source of deals.
