Thinking about putting OEM 19's on my sedan with 17's...

How much differently will the ride be? I'm still debating whether to do it b/c I love the way the car drives and handles and I don't want to screw that up. Any advice or experiences with this matter would be appreciated, thanks!

PS-The 19's would be some the coupe model and the 17's are from a Journey sedan 2011.

i have them and the ride is not that much different. it is just slightly harsher, but not really bumpier or uncomfortable. it's just not as soft as the 17s with the big sidewall. i'm on stock suspension also, so the difference is very minimal.

19s ride rougher cause the decreased wheel not to mention the RE950As are a little on the stiff wall side. if you up the size, your wheel gap will increase slightly.

if you have an S you don't even a feel a difference from a suspension change.

if you want to check, ask for an S loaner during your next service and see how the 18s ride. if you don't like those, you won't like the ride on 19s.

the handling is hard to say, most of those that do the upgrade have the S suspension. you're coming from the base suspension

There shouldn't be vibration unless the new wheels require balancing.

I have the 19s with 245-45-19 front and 275-45-19 rear and it looks and rides amazingly on non sport suspensions. I also had the 17s and did an upgrade.
The ride is not harsh at all. Also I'm not lowered and happy with the little gap it has.

no vibrations or shaking. i'm running Yokohama S. Drives and they are more comfortable than the stock RE050s.

My beater wheels:

Hankook Ventus V12 245/45/19 275/40/19

Slight pinching in the rear, but no problem even after driving 10k miles.

If those really are your tire sizes, someone screwed up

What are your tire sizes if you don't mind me asking?

I can answer that question for you.

It's because you're running one size taller tires in the rear. The proper size should have been 275/40/19, not 275/45/19.

Those 19s look awesome!

For those who think the ride is not much different with the 19s, what kind of road surfaces do you have? We have pretty much concrete surface with imperfections here in Houston, and with the 17s, it already feels bumpy at times.
