I have been searching for a local shop to tint my taillights, and so far I have been getting INSANE prices....360, 175, 240....

Anyone know a good place around the L.A. area that doesnt charge so much?

 

go buy the smoked overlay vinyl for like 50 bucks and do it yourself , its not that hard , i can give u some tips

 

I rather pay someone to do it, because I heard the taillights are a pain to do on your own.

buy them from bat and have a tint shop install them...i had a local shop installed them for $20, i'm sure u can get them installed for less

 

talk to terrible he had a guy do his and they turned out greatt!

 

Ya i mean dont get me wrong it does suck to try to do yourself and i cant say i did the greatest job but it gets me by ...all the shops wanted an arm and a leg, ya a tint shop might do it cheap...

 

i asked for a ballpark price n the tint shop i went to said "$40!....per light!!!" crazy guy

 

There is a place in Van Nuys that does it for 80 both taillights and they turned out great and they just specialize in that and clear bra's so there is a gaureentee on the overlays.

Go to Sunshield in Sherman Oaks. They did my tails when I got my windows tinted. Actually, Sunshield doesn't do the tails themselves, they work with a shop accross the street. Either way they can hook you up.

Tried there, they said 140.

 

Have them tint your windows too. They'll give you a discount.

More seriously, find someone else who wants to get it done too. I bet some place would be willing to hook you up with a deal if they knew they were doing more than one car.
