P0172 [bad O2 sensor] after Stillen CAI install
Hi all,
For reference sake, I’ve got a 2009 G37S 6MT.
Two days ago, I installed my Stillen Gen3. After initial start up and ECU reset, it ran without a hitch. This morning after starting the car, it had a rough idle and would stall coming to stops. I had it idling in my driveway inspecting for possible vacuum leaks, so I retraced my steps and the problem persisted.
While idling, the Service Engine Soon came on and I took it to AutoZone which was five minutes away. They pulled a P0172, which is a bad O2 sensor code. On the drive home, the car would stall after start up intermittently and have a hard time accelerating. Do these and the aforementioned symptoms seem like a bad O2 sensor? Or is is possibly install related?
Thanks a bunch in advance!

sounds like your getting air in your sytem when you shouldnt be....
since this directly happened after install i would go over the install and make sure everyrhing is tight and there are no gaps were air would be getting into your intake when you dont want it too.
i installed a sri like 6months ago and the last couple weeks been having rough idle pushed it to the side forgot about it untill that cel came on ran the code was the MAF after inspection where the cone filter was connected to the sri it was not fitting tight enough took it off fit it on better tightned the hose clamp little tighter reset my code and has not come back yet and the car is idling at a pefect 600.
