What's Wrong with my car
 

So i took my car to the dealership in lynbrook the other day b/c my power steering wasn't working. So they tell me there was a leak. So i get my car back and they said the problem is fixed. So i got back my car drive home and notice it still isn't fix. And to add insult to injury i'm driving once i hit 40mph and my foot is still on the gas my car just revs. So i put my car in tiptronic shift fine 1st through 3rd gear when i got to shift into 4th it just revs like i'm missing the gear then i try to shift into 5th and the same thing happens. That never happened before. It feels like I have no 4th or 5th gear. I hope they take care of this on friday when i go back to the dealership. What do you guys think is wrong with it?

They musta drained some of your tranny fluid and filled up your power steering pump with it... Dam Infiniti dealers... Shneaky shneaky...

























Just kidding... But it does sound pretty fishy... Why do you have to wait til Friday? Get it in sooner...

they might not have fixed your issue and it sounds like somehow they got the car to go to limp mode. ecu reset should fix that, not sure about the steering.

i was thinking that how do you do an ecu reset ? ... and second they definitely didn't fix the problem there steering is just as hard as b4 ...

disconnect the battery for 20 minutes

imma go try that in a little see if that works ...

20mins hmm might need to be longer but there's another thread here that shows u how to reset ecu, has to do with tapping the gaspedal etc

well i tried the ecu reset that didn't work .... and the car went to the dealership on friday

Well i took my car to the dealership friday and gave me 08 G35x loner .... they finally call me back today and tell me wats wrong with my car ...............MY TRANNY IS BROKEN ... they ordered a new one today look like imma be driving this loner for a little while lol... I have no idea how it broke

your auto tranny died? how is that possible? did they explain it? how are your driving habits?

Yea my auto tranny died ... i mean i have a heavy foot at times but i don't think anymore than other people .. they I didn't get a chance to talk to them my mom took the call .. lol
