Without a doubt the front end clunk is there while braking.

i have the same issue, right side- first i thought it was the sway bar bushing that may have worn out but no.
while i had the front sway bar out I also checked the end links they don't make any sounds either, they were firm.

I am just trying to replace each and every part like Guy from norcal did

If anybody has found a resolution please let me know.

I have a slight, faint rattle at low speed from the front passenger side as well. It occurs only at low speed and on uneven ground. I notice the sound more when going down an incline with uneven road as well.

I have replaced the front endlinks with new SPL endlinks for the G37xS coupe (previously had the Moog) and the sound rattle remains. The FA500 coilovers have been inspected and reseated and no problems found either. My hotchkis swaybars were greased recently as well. Otherwise, no other modifications to the G.

Anyone have any ideas on the noise?

I hope it fixes your noise and perhaps, the same is causing my rattle at low speeds.

OP is chasing a clunk whereas I have both a clunk and rattling over bumps unless I lightly engage the brakes. I believe mine is loose.calipers - have a video I'll post to another thread I started for this noise.

Well, the mechanic replaced both the strut mounts and the struts ($1,000), then said there was still a slight rattle suspected to be from the front end links, so we replaced those too.

I've now put about 400 miles on the car and there are still suspension clunks and rattles. Some gone, others still present, depending on the surface. Ride is certainly much better now.

Totally at a loss. Maybe I'm insane and the noises aren't from the suspension?

Thanks for the update!

Too bad it's not fixed - for $1,000 and replacing the struts, mounts and end links, one would assume a quiet ride. 😕.

My rattles seem to be from underneath and I'm planning on getting a microphone close to record (audible with windows down), however the clunks I have are more of a solid clunking and easier to hear with the windows up.

Yeah, I'm quite annoyed. This cannot be normal for this car. Wondering if I should try to test drive someone else's to verify. It makes noises like a late 90's GM car with 200k.

Well i replaced the lower control arm,And the clunk is still there. I have no clue WTF is making that sound. I know it is the right passenger side, And it sounds like it's in the fenderwell.
I drive over RR tracks when i get to work. I go slow, And at an angle. When the right front goes over the tracks i hear it.

I'm really starting to loose my mind.

I've got clunking sound when making slow turn from dead stop or when slow accelerating, ( not always there )noise is coming from front suspension.
Also Ive noticed when I punch in on 3rd around 80 my front feels very odd, very poorly planted, and this is with 255 tire on the front.

I guess it is time for me to make suspension parts replacement list.
