Catalytic Converter - Header Bolts
 

So, I finally got time to install my ART pipes (shoutout to Black Betty for the smooth buy) and I managed to get the top bolts, aka demon bolts off with the help of a 25" breaker bar and 2 people's strength. Now I'm under the car and have done everything else but I'm struggling to get the last 2 bolts that people never seem to mention:

How tf am I supposed to get these off? There isn't even space to fit a ratcheting wrench in there. Do I need deep sockets too? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

6 pt. box end wrench w/ a cheater pipe should do it.

Good call actually. I'll pick one of those up tomorrow hopefully I can get some movement in that small space. The big metal piece going across the bottom third of the pic blocks off a ton of the usable space.

Pb blaster is your friend, spray it, let it soak for 24 hrs. Spray some more ,repeat . Bolt will come off real easy

Should do the trick^^^ and w/ enough imagination there's ways to get into tight spots (I've had to resort to this on occasion)

I finally managed to get these damn things off today. Thanks for the ideas guy, the winning combination was a 14mm deep socket from the wheel well for the bottom bolt, and a 20 inch extension and a u-joint on top of that for the top bolt. I smashed my thumb on the bottom of the car when one of them broke loose, ouch :15:.

But it was worth it in the end, success pic:

Glad to hear it worked out! Make sure to put some anti-seize on those threads when you install the ART pipes.

Did you at least celebrate w/ a few cold ones??
