Why get a 40k high perf car and then run less than premium costing you power and possible damage to the high compression engine?
The manual says if you have to use regular just use enough to get you to the next station where you can use premium again. Premium is required....not recommended as in some cars.

Lol "threatens to burn us at pumps"... Man I feel like I'm being burned pretty bad paying 4.00+ at every fill up for the past months. Oh well I never expected to be paying less due to the fact that I live in CA..

Agreed. Paying about $3.50 for premium right now at Costco. It varies +- $.30 to $.45 each week. I stopped looking at it. I have a budget still in place since gas was almost $5.00 a gallon. Until then, I don't let it bother me.
Costco for me is 3.58 / gallon. Have people been telling you Costco is cheap gas too? That's whT others have been tellin me, but Idk
I did try it for one month in my previous 06 G35
No noticeable improvement in performance and MPG was worse.
Waste of money in my opinion.
My results from four fill-ups from NJ to Florida. Drop in MPG on local short trips while in Florida and four fill-ups on the 1230 mile return trip.
All regular 87 octane

I'll never understand why people pound their chest in pride that they put less than what's asked for in gasoline. If the car says it requires 91 octane why not just put 91 octane In it? Saving on average .30 a gallon only yeilds $5.40 a tank which equates to $280 a year if you fill up your tank once a week. If you buy a $40k car and cant justify to spend the extra $280 a year, you need to reevaluate your priorities. Just my $.02.....
And I didnt buy a large displacement car with 330hp to pussyfoot my way into the record books of average mpg. If you wanted to save gas but liked the looks, why not just buy a G25? Am I missing something?
