I know harbor frieght isn't legendary in terms of long term reliability, but you can get these with like 20% off on top of the already good price. I have this one and it's awesome.

When I decided some time ago to get a new floor jack this winter, I was originally planning on a Harbor Freight pick-up. Something made me look elsewhere, and I ended up targeting this Arcan jack through Amazon. That said, those two Harbor Freight jacks have appeal.
I really don't want to spend more than $130 overall, and I want a double-piston design, with low profile and a high-lift potential. 1.5 ton is totally fine, but 3 ton means I can use it for other things (like the house, LOL). 33 pounds with a handle is fantastic, whereas 78 pounds is a freaking brick, ugh!
Arcan 2-ton

I have a few jacks, an older HF 3-ton low profile like the one immediately above, and one of the light 1.5T all-aluminum ones I used for the track. They're OK, never had a fail with any of them. I use a grooved hockey puck in the saddle to keep from marring the body rails when lifting at the side jack points. I've also got a solid steel 4-ton beast, can't recall where it is from, that I've had for a decade or more. I have to lift the car with the little jack first and then get the beast under a crossmember or knuckle, though.

Don't forget Harbor Freight has coupons like 90% of the time for like 20% off. Check car mags if you aren't on their mailing list.

^^Make sure you tip the ups guy well. Those are heavy ****'s. I have this one (XL325R - 3.25 Ton Extra Low Service Jack) that I got from costco a number of years ago. Works well but was challenging getting it into/out of the car.

User note: put pipe insulation on the jack handle (hold it on with duct tape) to keep from dinging your body panels if the jack handle springs up.

My votes for the Harbor Freight jack. I actually have 4 different floor jacks that ranged in price from $39 - $400 and my go to jack always seems to be the $39 one I got from Harbor freight. It's the lightest one I have an works perfectly for both my G and my Porsche. I only pull out one of the bigger jacks when I'm working on the Jeep, Durango or Ram 2500.
Listed below is the one I'm referring to. It's $79 right now, but if you wait it will go back on sale for $59. I had a $20 off coupon when I got mine, so it was only $39!

I also have the older version of the below one, except mine doesn't have the rapid pump feature. I've probably had it for over a decade and it still works great but I find myself using the 1.5 ton instead since it's lighter and has the rapid pump feature.

Yup. Good call. I just checked and their current 20% coupon offer just expired on 2/3 (coupon code 26537402). They also had the 1.5 ton jack on sale for $59 through 2/3 (coupon code 26568043). You can try the coupon codes I listed to see if they still work, but I'm sure they'll have a new coupon again within a week so keep your eye out.

If you guys aren't in the facebook groups (like strictly infiniti sedans, VQ35HR / VQ37VHR Discussion) etc, you really should join. I prefer the forum over all, but a lot of the information here is dated and a lot of the fresher exciting VQ/Sedan information is posted in the groups. Not to mention there is a ton of aftermarket used stuff for sale on those groups.
Just a heads up.

Us old farts are averse to change. Back in the day (dialup) only a handful of users could sign in at a time.
I log into facebook about once every two weeks with sessions lasting maybe 30-60 seconds at most. I am registered to several G/370z fb groups, but finding relevant info is anything but easy. Mostly tons of for sale ads. I find the whole concept of 'social media' to be a millennial construct

That's a hard "No" to Facebook. But thanks for the heads up.

I'm on the older end of the facebook groups, but it's just relevant enough for me to keep an eye on it. I occasionally share my findings (like the reman bbk deal) here.
