My father starts his car this way, every time he leaves the house.

What car, and for how many years has he been doing that?

Thanks again for the kind words! She sounds decent but I'd like a little more growl for sure! Resonated test pipes are my next venture.

No folding mirrors unfortunately they were just folded in because I had my cover on the car. I do have a big brake kit going on near spring I finished recently!

Painted these guys candy apple metallic red. Can't wait!Sedan Chat Thread-photo94.jpg

Today was the first time I really got to experience the car with below freezing temps in conjunction with the Z1 Transmission mount. I have to say, that was genuinely unpleasant. All kinds of crude, mechanical noises somehow exasperated because of temperature.

Once the car was fully warmed up and driven around, everything was copacetic. But until then... ugh.

2006(?) Toyota Corolla with 5-speed MT
2010 Hyundai Elantra Touring with 5-speed MT

Both cars purchased new; both cars started sans starter whenever he leaves the house.

Nice color choice for the Akebono's. I've actually been thinking of changing the color of mine from white to a metallic red for quite some time, so I'm really curious to see how those look on your car.

Which dealership are you using? I'm in Charlotte and just recently picked up my G37 and was trying to decide which to use. Lake Norman or Independence Blvd.

Also, which indy was charging $114/hr? I was barely paying that when I had work done on my Euros

Independence Blvd Infiniti. I liked them more before they were purchased by Sonic.

SOHO Motorsports in Monroe. We also have Motion Lab that also specializes in Zs and Gs.

I think the complicating factor with the bushing is there is no OE replacement except for doing the whole subassembly, which is what book labor is based off of. I could have probably found a cheaper place but whatever, it's the first "mod" I've paid to have installed in nearly a decade, and it turned out great!

Question- I ordered splash guards and they don't seem to fit on the front. I have an XS but ordered the non-sport thinking the X with sport appearance package only had the sport bumper (and I have the factory lip). Did I guess wrong? Does the XS have the Sport side skirts?
Edit - The rear appears to fit fine.

Yeah, the Sport has beefier side skirts regardless of it being an X or not. The rear fender is the same across the line.

Ugh. Well I guess i'll order the Sport version and try to cut my losses by selling instead of paying for shipping and 20% restock fee. My first "mod" didn't go so well...
Thanks for the reply's!

Freakin' passenger side door lock is acting up and not working when locking or unlocking the car. Then out of the blue it will work a couple of times but then later quit.

Also, one of the cat heat shields is rattling when accelerating from a stop. It sounds classy. The other failed while still under warranty and replaced.

60k miles.

Other than that, things are good.

I have removed all my heat shields except the ones way up by the headers.
They all rattled at some point or another and I got tired of it. No issues since.

I do have an aftermarket exhaust so there's more room between the exhaust and the shields so it was easy and there's plenty of room for air to circulate.

(it added 5 hp too!)

18x9 +35mm offset going to fit on a 07 35x? I'm guessing the X's have less room than the non-x?
