What's a good price for splash guards, installed?
I'm just curious because I think splash guards could be quite practical. I just want to make sure I don't overpay my dealer. I think the MSRP on infiniti site said $274, but that's without installation fee... I need a reference price point to negotiate with my dealer.
Thanks in advance. |
can't be that hard to do yourself. isn't it just a couple of screws?

My dealer just got back to me with an estimate of $350 installed... Is this price reasonable? Makes me wonder if I would really need splash guards?
|
I usually charge $350 installed from the dealership. You do have to take off the wheel to get a perfect installation on them.

unless it came with the car, i wouldn't spend the $ to add them. if you must, do it yourself. even if you do have to take the wheel off, it's not like you don't know how to do that or it's so difficult to justify the dealer's labor charge.

i was merely stating that for a simple task, it's not worth paying the dealer labor charge. rates may be competitive, but i'll pay you guys for the more complex stuff that i can't do. kinda like tire rotation (if applicable). would I pay the dealer $50+ for it when I can spend 30 min and do it myself? probably not.

I've decided to just skip with the splash guards. It's not like I'll be doing any off-roading to watch out for debris or anything. I'll just have to wash the car more often I guess... Thanks guys for your opinions.

in the Infiniti of Tampa, they have an infiniti accessories book, its 179 installed for splash guard.
Which is exactly what i paid for plus tax. |
Riverside Infiniti sells them for MUCH cheaper. Hit up Tony or Rick and just install em yourself. Any novice can install these no problem.
|
The best price is $0. Don't get them, they aren't useful (IMO) and the G looks better without them
|
u can buy the splashguard at riverside infi already painted for 140 i think, then drive to san diego n ill install it for u for a bowl of Pho, lol. seriously, its real easy to install with the template

Just bought these at riverside infiniti. Quoted for $149 but ended up paying $139 + tax. Very easy to install.
Wasn't considering the splashguards until I bought the 20's. They're called splashguards for a reason and they sure did help with the "splashed" debris and protects the paint as well. |
I have a set of four for sale
I have a set of four for sale. Platinum Graphite off a 2009 sedan. PM me.

I installed mine without taking off the wheels.
just take time test fitting where to mark where your holes are going to be, mark them, then with a drill gun or screw driver make your hole with the screw (supplied). remove screw and place splash guard matching the holes then place screws back in. |
