Any way to lower a X .5"? Retain stock ride?

I just purchased a G37xS and was trying to find a way to lower it SLIGHTLY while retaining the stock ride. I do not want to lower the car 1.5" or so that it seems the sedan springs will do. Any suggestions besides overly expensive coilovers? I have a feeling I am out of luck, but figured i'd ask in case there was a way.

You could try OEM springs from the coupe or RWD sedan. They should provide a very minimal drop on the X.

Not sure what the difference is in the springs but I have a set of coupe S springs. Let me know if you're interested.

put some bricks in the car and weigh it down. They're pretty cheap.

Lowering any car with shorter springs will ALWAYS effect the ride to a certain extent. Progressively wound springs like Eibach Prokits try to minimize it, but there's a consistent tradeoff between the two.

Here's a thread from earlier this year where someone tried the coupe springs on the X sedan:

SO...would rwd 37 sedan springs lower a 37x sedan? And would fitment work? The question was never really answered? That's exactly what I would like to do...drop maybe .5 all around and not give up ride quality...I know there's EibachPK...but I'm NorthEast and it's already frostin!burr!

Really not sure why Eibach is not the best answer. .5 isn't enough drop to make it worth it.

That seems to be what people think will happen. I have a set or rwd springs ready to go on my car to test it out. It has just been really cold and I may not get them on until early spring. When I do, ill be sure to make a post with measurements.

It seems that it probably would work but it hasn't been tested out, measured, and reported. If someone would try it out on just the rears first since it's so very easy to change them, then they could give the community an idea. If it doesn't work out as anticipated, they can easily be changed back to stock in 30 min or so. If they do work out well, then they could do the fronts too and measure and evaluate the ride with all 4 springs changed.

So, if the rears drop it .5 without putting in the fronts, you believe that the fronts would drop about the same? I might be able to get out there to do the rears sometime soon.

If you only lower the rear, you will not get an accurate lowering amount than if you lower all 4 corners. The weight shift to the rear with only rear lowering will exaggerate the amount of lowering in the rear.
