Help! can't get my car into acc or on position?

So Thursday of last week I tried programming a spare key for my 08 G37s that I ordered off of eBay (I'm a locksmith). I made the mistake of having both the old and new key in the vehicle at the same time. After everything was said and done my diagnostic tool indicated programming was successful. I pulled the new key out and tested it and nothing. Not only is the new key not working but now my original key is not working either. I thought hmm that's weird. In order for the diagnostic tool to work or communicate with the computer properly the car needs to be in the acc or on position. Well now I can't even get that to happen. When I insert the key into the slot it gives me the yellow key indicator light which from what I've read has something to do with the steering wheel locking mechanism. I've taken apart the lower steering wheel panel and tried the tapping on the steering lock method while pressing the on button and nothing. But the real problem is I can't get the steering wheel to lock back up. I've tested the battery itself along with the batteries in both remotes and I've check all the fuses and stil can't figure out the problem. From what my friend (a fellow locksmith) has told me, my car is stuck in programming mode and this is why it won't lock the steering wheel. I've tried removing the key and inserting it into the slot 6 times, I've tried removing and reinserting the key into the slot while jerking the wheel left-right. I've also tried opening and closing the door several times while jerking the steering wheel left-right and still nothing. I can't afford to take the car to the dealer right now and I need this thing to be on the road again asap. Any and all help/ advice would be appreciated. Figured somebody on here might know something I don't about what's going on...

Nissan Consult 3 (the one that dealer use) can program the key even if the car is in OFF position.
First, it will need to unlock the steering wheel. If the SL module on the car is broken or disabled, you can't program key's to the car.
Then, it can program he key.
Since your steering wheel is unlocked, the car can be stuck in programming mode...
I did play with key programming on my G37's with Consult 3 interface but never had such problems...

Because you use some 3'rd party key programmer it might not fallow the factory tool programming procedure and that can get you stuck in the current situation...
I even erased all key's and reprogrammed them back with the car in OFF position.

So you think I'll have to take it to the dealer if I don't have Nissan consult 3 or is there another way around it? Just doesn't make any sense to me as to why it would be stuck in programming mode?

The actual programming mode have a timeout of about 20 seconds when you can program the key. So it might not be stuck on programming mode. But there are some steps before programming, like the steering lock unlock, that don't have a timeout. It might be stuck in one of the processes required before programming.
Or maybe your tool made a CU INIT procedure that erase the BCM key memory.
Some Nissan BCM can program key's only by CU INIT procedure.
In this case, you must reprogram all key's and you can't just add a key like on other BCM versions.

What tool do you use to program they key's?
3'rd party diagnostic tools use the protocols copied from OEM diagnostic tools.
If your tool can't connect to the car while the car is off, then they are not so good on copying the Nissan Consult 3 protocols...

If you can't get a Consult 3 (even a clone) to solve the problem, then you have to go to the dealer...
If you go to the dealer, make sure you take all they key's you need to be programmed to that car with you
oh... one more thing: you can only program a key that was working with that car before, or a blank key to G37 BCM.
You can't program a key that was used on other car.

Thanks for the input. Yes I use a 3rd party diagnostic tool called the xtool x100 pad. But I've also had several other locksmiths out here try their diagnostic tools too (advanced diagnostic MVP pro) I did unlock the steering wheel before trying to program the key and my tool even indicated programming was successful. The keys I'm using are brand new other then the one that was already working for my car. I appreciate your help my friend, looks like I'll be towing it to the dealer after all
