Have you contacted any dealer as to when they expected the '09s to arrive? Find out when they say there expected in and plus or minus a month. Didn't the '09 Ms just come out last month..? You could be waiting til next Nov/Dec!

Edit: I just e-mailed Infiniti US Corporate asking when they expected the '09 to arrive in the states, will see what they have to say.

a SL500 weighs 4100lbs and it handles beautifully so I'd love a G37 conv...the 350Z roadster is very impressive....

um no the SL500 drives like a complete boat. there is nothing beautiful about the chassis or handleing dynamics of the car. Its turn in response is horrible, body roll up the ying yang. an air ride suspension that over compensates for front and rear pitch due to heavy braking and heavy acceloration. There is nothing nice about that. most mercedes chassis's are extremely poor. that has always been the man complaint. they throw huge over weighted motors in under developed chassis. The only cars that are semi nice are the black series and the only one i feel is a true chassis and was hit perfect was the CLK 63 black edition.

The SL500 and SL55 were fine when I drove them, then again, its not like Im going to Watkins Glen either. Yes, the G37 is more taut, but the current SL does handle well and is a far better sports car then the previous SL which was ALL boat...

i'm sorry i dont think they handled well at all. I have tracked many many cars and have a lot of experience behind the wheels of some truely great machines. I also have driven the SL. I drove one for 2 years straight a couple times a week. i dont know what kind of experience you have to judge what a good balanced chassis is. But i can say it is one of the worst handleing "sports cars" i have ever driven......

I just read in Nissan Sport Magazine that Infiniti plans to put self healing paint on all of it's future models. I am not sure if this will start in 2009 or not but I it's reasonable to think that it would.
