2011 convertible button beeping but no movement
My convertible top isn't going down when I hit the button. It beeps once when I press it and nothing happens or shows up on the display, my windows don't even roll down to start the progress and beeps another two times when I let go of the button. When I'm driving it says that the roof is in operation, but not when I'm stopped. I unplugged the battery to reset it and nothing. My battery is only a few months old with a voltage of 12.8 so it's not that either. I'm not sure what to check anymore. Another weird thing that happens is, when I open the trunk and press the button I'll get the roof in operation warning, but no movement.

Hey there I know this thread is old but did you ever figure out this issue? I’m having the same problem, nothing happens when I push the button up or down and roof on operation message pops up.

There are some folks who have opted to buy the (cloned) CONSULT3 software/interface in order to diagnose/ repair/ reset the convertible top.
See this thread. Post #12 has the link from where the tool was purchased which has been verified to work. Granted it is not a cheap investment at just under $600. But for 'Vert owners, it saves trips to the dealer (which adds up fast) just to reset the top. Of course this all depends on your skill/ comfort level as well. |
