Teaser: New DPE's/New Car - Another First for DPE (pics)
 

Hopefully thursday my wheels will be here and I can finally take the ugly stockies off the car.. I am keeping my fingers crossed that everything fits as well as the last set of DPE's and that I have no problems.

These are 20x8 and 20x9.5 Rivetless, Step Lip R10's in Phantom Black Finish w/ hidden valve stems; still using a 245/35/20 and 275/30/20 (Toyo T1-R's).

wheels look hot, congrats on the x5. all you need is some rims for that :)

Where do you keep all of the 'stuff' that's supposed to be in your garage?

hah.. I have a shelving unit to the left of the g up against the wall, it's about 8' long, 4' tall and 2' wide. I don't have a ton of tools, but I filled a decent size craftsman box that sits on top of this shelf. My 55 gallon air tank and compressor sit in the section to the left of the g:

There is also a bike, my surf board, and my old wheel boxes over there (along with a pile of engine parts from the g). I have another shelf/desk thing that holds the stereo and odds and ends on the opposite side of the garage and a fridge next to it. The garage is just really well laid out and all of my stuff is hidden well I guess. There is a pile of tires against this wall as well, I am not even sure why I have these as none of them fit any of my current cars, haha. I'll pull the cars out and take some pictures of the garage so there is proof that I actually have some stuff. ;)

You better pull the cars out and take some pics of THEM, not of your garage :p But knowing you, that will probably happen next year when the 22" are on and your 3rd set of DPEs for the G is on order, haha.

This weekend I will try to get the cars out and take some decent pictures.. not much to see on the X5, it's pretty much stock. Hoping my wheels and rotors get here on thursday/friday and I can have all kinds of good stuff to take pictures of.

jason can you do a detailed description on what is involved when changin the brake pads rotors and calipers. i just got my new ones and need to put them on. i have never change brakes before so it will be a first.

DAMN! DPE does it again with an awesome looking wheel.

sure thing daniel.. (knock on wood), brake jobs aren't too difficult with decent tools and some mechanical know-how. I will tell you this, bleeding the system is one of the biggest troublemakers, it's almost worthwhile to buy a brake-bleeder; i think some auto part stores rent them, i will find out and keep you posted as i will need something for myself this weekend.

who wants to donate to my 22" wheel fund for the x5 ;)

what kinda tools?

when are you goin to be doin this maybe i will drive up to jax and i can hel p you with yours then we can do mine. ;)

couple wrenches, 14's, 12's and maybe a 10.. i have air tools so that should make it easy.

i'll keep you posted on when the items arrive and whatnot, id be more than happy to help out.

No sir.. I've got a rack of tools, seems I just keep accumlating them on every project.
