VDC stays on randomly
So I been having this issue for a long time with the Vehicle Dynamic Control, VDC light… Maybe if I can check the wheel sensors some how without taking them off or whatever ?
· Performed a ECU reset · My brake fluid and brake pads are fine. I still have this issue. · Tire pressure is good · Fuses next to battery are good too ( VDC ABS and whatever the other one in there is ) · No other fault codes · No other issues I can see · I have Advanced LT is a plugin for Torque Pro · My manuals https://rmccurdy.com/.scripts/downloaded/Q40/ · Past year I had to unscrew the break light switch to make it engage because I think when I was in a fender bender it got nocked down or something/somebody messed with it so when I lifted off the break it would think the break was still engaged and cruise control was not working. I fixed that. I did notice another switch next to the switch I fixed for cruise control not sure what that is for or if it needs to be adjusted. · Its been doing it for a LONG time. I think even before I blew 3 fuses plugging in harness the wrong order when I made myself a AUX by hijacking the HD Radio input. https://www.myg37.com/forums/audio-v...rap-audio.html · I don’t drive it hardly at all my wife drives and I work from home most the time 3-5 days a week Torque Logs: https://rmccurdy.com/.scripts/downlo...0_12-24-02.csv 12 : 40 break light came on for a second while quickly accelerating /turning 12 : 44 VDC light came on for a second while quickly accelerating /turning 12 : 46 Break light shortly followed by VDC light won’t turn off after quickly accelerating/turning 12 : 47 : Break light on/off and VDC light still on quickly accelerating/turning 12 : 49 Break light on/off and VDC light still on quickly accelerating/turning Also I ripped all of nicoclub.com for you yall as a mirror feel free to share URL/Script 😊 Script : https://rmccurdy.com/.scripts/downlo....com.ripp.bash Mirror/Archive : https://rmccurdy.com/.scripts/downloaded/nicoclub.com/ |
You may want to scan the ABS module for codes.
The least expensive way I know is OBD Fusion ($7) with the $14 Enhanced diagnostic add-on. What is nice about this add-on, is it allows you to scan ALL the modules in the car AND if they have PIDs, you can view them in real time. Here is a video on a G37 to show what is looks like |

Or am I looking for ABS specific PIDs ? https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.myg...954ca6639f.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.myg...ff81afe119.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.myg...4ae060cd4b.jpg |
Torque Pro with the Infiniti plug-ins ONLY show enhanced ECU PIDs/data, so that isn't going to help with ABS/VDC issues.
OBDFusion with the enhanced diagnostics can scan, clear and show LIVE data like individual wheel speeds and 40+ other ABS module related items. |
