If I remember correctly, the throttle bodies are supplied with coolant, ostensibly to prevent icing.
OP, I think there are test strips that will reveal if there are hydrocarbons in the coolant. If exhaust is mixing with coolant, you have a failed head gasket and/or cracked head. Infiniti cars are very few here in the city I live and there is no good mechanic who has experience with the cars and their components :( |

Is there any other way to test for a cracked head or cylinder without opening the engine?
It is confusing though that you state there is no coolant loss. |

You can buy a pump that screws to the radiator to pressurize the cooling system and perform a leak-down test. It's possible that if there is a cracked head, the crack might be at a valve seat that will stop the leak if the valve is closed.
It is confusing though that you state there is no coolant loss. once again, thank you for responding |
