removed it yesterday, looks like it would be ok, but I'm still not sure if it would help to keep my engine a bit cooler...

And yes, I will remove upper engine cover (with infiniti logo) for summer.

P.s. English is not my native language, so i make mistakes sometimes
Why are you asking this question on a VQ37 forum? And why do you have a heavy custom fiberglass underbody? These things I do not undertand.

GTM 34fin oil cooler. That's what you need.

I spent an hour at Uprev today. According to them an oil cooler is good for 40hp once the engine gets hot.

1) VQ37VHR and VQ35HR are pretty similiar engines, and VQ37VHR has more overheating issues, so it is logically to ask about it here

2) custom fiberglass or metallic underbody is a "must have" in my region, or you would damage the engine oil pan! i chose fiberglass because of its weight (2 times lighter than the metallic one).

so, they say when the car is in "pre-limp" mode it limits the engine to 266hp instead of factory 306hp? I already removed an upper engine cover with the infiniti logo and made some vent holes in the plastic (mine is custom fiberglass) engine underbody and it seems to help a little... what else can be done without adding an oil cooler?

and btw, where do they suggest to put an engine oil cooler, if I already have stillen transmission cooler?

First off, car is 330hp factory at the engine. Second, from my talkings with them yesterday, once the car gets really hot it starts pulling timing and starts hurting power. The oil cooler keeps the oil at 180-190* MAX so the engine never gets to hot and starts pulling power. They showed me their cooler. 25 row derale cooler. Pretty compact in size. They normally mount it in front of the radiator. Personally I'm not gonna deal with it anytime soon but take it for what it's worth.

vq35hr is rated 306hp

the problem is I don't know where to mount it, as I already have transmission cooler on the drivers side and power steering cooler on the other...

When my car was tuned the engine cover was removed, however after pulls it was put back on.

To properly cool motor We/ you need an oil cooler.

Even running n/a settle up, not just for boosted motors.

If the car could be driven without an Infiniti badge on the front, back steering wheel, seats, engine cover, etc., why would they put one on?

It's literally there to cover up metal.
