GTM supercharger for G37X?

I hear they are coming out with a TT kit for the g37x, but what about a supercharger kit? I know they g37s and X engine are basically the same, just the filter and oil pan are in totally different places, so im not sure how this effects installation.

I plan from now on to save for a SC kit. No more little things. For anyone who cares, i decided on a superchargers for a few reasons

1) they sounds amazing (but so does the TT kit, so no big deal change)
2) Ease of instal, im a DIY kind of guy, unless my G needed a new crank i wouldn't be caught dead in a mechanics shop. I looked at the G37 tt kit instal DIY on the forum, as well as read the GTM SC instal guide online. The SC is a MUCH easier instal and i can easily do it myself, unlike the TT kit which is much more difficult.
3) I want a big project to make me feel good about myself :)

TheLocNar 02-26-2011 08:46 PM

There is less room around the engine block on the x models. But they will have something. It's probably quite a ways off though. That just means more time to save up the $... and they have to beef up the 7AT as well.

Steveo47 02-26-2011 08:47 PM

^^ speaking of that, ive heard the 2010 g37x ha the same tranny as the fx50, if thats so it should easily be able to handle the extra torque. The instal seems quite simply actually.

good plan! GTM is coming out with one this year you will be blown away how nicely it sounds and the power of GTM's S/C kit is. feels just like stock but much much more power and i'm talking about useable power down low.

as far as the 7AT issues, most majority of guys are doing okay. i would say it all lies inside the driver to determine how long their tranny can survive but definately a tranny cooler and a valve body upgrade is needed. not sure if that's available yet might want to talk to GTM or other vendors about it first.

Steveo47 02-26-2011 09:11 PM

^^ thanks weiboy! im going to wait about a year like i said anyways. Im generally a pretty relaxed driver (when i accelerate normally i normally dont go over 2.5k revs). I maybe push the g to around 5k once every 2 days. redline very seldomly (generally at the drag strip/highway if needed). I think with my driving style it would last a while, since the SC wouldnt be kicking in constantly.

Steveo47 02-26-2011 09:20 PM

damn! i can't find my teaser pics lol!

P Casey 02-26-2011 09:33 PM

wouldnt u want to go with a turbo if you have an auto instead of s/c

Steveo47 02-26-2011 09:39 PM

^^^ it wouldnt really make a difference. plus if i want to instal myself the turbo is out of the question.

Legz 02-26-2011 10:04 PM

steve you should call sam and let us know what's up. (ask for the TT too :D)

Steveo47 02-26-2011 10:09 PM

i may give him a call in a bit, i mean its a year away for me, so i hope by then they will coem up with one, i read a post he made a while back that the TT kit should be coming out any day now! and i hope a SC kit as well

Lt8Che 09-21-2011 03:45 PM

Bringing back the dead, I got an e-mail from Sam @ GTM and he said that they are finishing the TT system for the G37x and when they finish that they will start to tackle the SC system. I'm patiently waiting (well not too patiently) maybe if all the x'ers show some interest it will get produced quicker. I think an AWD SC'ed G would be a beast!

theaudir8fan 09-21-2011 09:49 PM

haha, sadly OP has already ditched the G and gone down the STI route.

Show some interest? Sigh... I've already paid in full for TTx kit a long time ago and still nada...

Lt8Che 09-22-2011 08:45 AM

I guess it's gonna be a while for all the x'ers... A sad time in history.

ANMVQ 09-22-2011 01:05 PM

Hey I'm waiting on this also.. More of my concern it the T-Case tho.. I know with a tranny cooler and UPREV and a field they are messing with to help the VB issues we have with FI. So that being said has anyone asked about out T case. FN this is small man looks like a shoe box.. LOL I'm worried with the extra TRQ and WHP that thing will SNAP.?

Saving $$$$ anyway :) Hope for this time next yeat to be SC'd.

Lt8Che 09-22-2011 04:33 PM

Well, I guess we'll all save our money and keep our fingers crossed that Sam starts working on it because I rather SC the car I love instead of buying a new one.

TheLocNar 09-22-2011 05:02 PM

Well. Sam has an X himself. It'll happen. But who knows when. I'm fine waiting. Getting the 7AT rebuilt with the new clutch packs etc. will be additional cost. More time to save up. ;)

Lt8Che 11-26-2011 04:57 PM

Bringing it back from the dead. I'm getting impatient. I need to hide the money for when it comes out.

Anyone hear any progress yet?

Weiboy718 11-26-2011 08:13 PM

call GTM! that's the best way of finding out instead of asking the forum

Lt8Che 11-27-2011 07:21 PM

Will do. I'll post the response.

Sam@GTM 11-30-2011 06:54 AM

The TT kit for the X model is done, We are just doing final instruction and all the documentation for the installation, this was a big deal to make probably one of the most challenging kit we had ever done witch will defiantly pave the way for the SC system. I think the pics can give you an idea of how compact the AWD models are .

Sam

Here are some pics of some the final product , This is a 4.2 L stroker with 800HP Package running a pair of GT3071 turbos .

Sam

theaudir8fan 11-30-2011 10:36 AM

hey sam, what are you going to do with the trans and diffs to handle 800hp? also i need to take sometime to give you a call to get some advise.

Lt8Che 11-30-2011 11:00 AM

Sam, so stoked to hear that you're done with the TT and will now begin work on the SC. I cannot wait to purchase and install the final SC product on the X. Please keep us updated on the progress of the SC kit for the X.

Legz 11-30-2011 03:41 PM

TTx is finally done!!!! Those are beautiful images... /weep

Lt8Che 12-13-2011 07:39 AM

Legz 12-13-2011 12:07 PM

Full press release yes please :D

Sam@GTM 12-27-2011 08:54 PM

Just like to inform everyone that since our X Twin Turbo development is complete, we are starting on our supercharger kit for the X model. The X Supercharger kit will take supercharger the G37 to a completely different level. We are very excited, so stay tuned for some exciting development.

Sam

Lt8Che 12-28-2011 01:52 AM

This is awesome news! I cannot wait for the finished product. Money is currently being hidden from the wife, haha.

ANMVQ 12-28-2011 12:21 PM

AHAHAH maybe you'll change your mind after I install my Stillen SC next week with tune.

Competition is what makes a good market! Lets see the results after install.

ANMVQ 12-29-2011 06:48 AM

Will do, All my parts arrived yesterday and I will be dropping my car off either tomorrow or Saturday.

Lt8Che 02-02-2012 01:12 AM

Any updates on this?

Emillion45 02-02-2012 01:37 AM

SC kit is a must!! That kind of power with all the grip in the world! Would feel like driving on rails!!

ANMVQ 02-02-2012 08:17 AM

On mine yea. Car pulls really good, 9 PSI getting tuned a week from this Saturday.

Lt8Che 02-02-2012 08:37 AM

ANMVQ, you're running the stillen SC Kit right?

ANMVQ 02-03-2012 01:29 PM

Yes I am. Their kit is really good. But can't that much for their customer service ;/.

Can you fill me in on the details please? Cost, installation, tune, fit? Shoot me a PM if you can. Thanks.

Can't wait for gtm's anymore?

Lt8Che 02-05-2012 07:13 AM

I'm still waiting, I have four months left in the Middle East to wait. Just want to compare and contrast systems. Knowledge is the key to power and in this case 500+whp worth of power.

Lt8Che 02-29-2012 05:58 AM

https://www.myg37.com/forums/engine-...er-system.html

THIS IS AWESOME NEWS!

ANMVQ 02-29-2012 09:04 AM

My final numbers where 365WHP and 275 WTRQ. Super low dyno, The mustang down the road( Same shop) would have been 412 WHP and 300 WTRQ... Cost for all was 10k :)

TeRRoRiFiC35 04-05-2012 02:50 AM

Bumping this to see if any headway has been made with this

Lt8Che 04-05-2012 02:58 AM

Good Bump, checking on the twin SC thread too!

Jeff Schulte 09-24-2016 11:05 PM

Dead thread. Any experience with these? Why was Sam banned?

TheLocNar 09-25-2016 09:15 PM

Mods. What about just deleting this thread all together?

Jeff Schulte 09-25-2016 09:29 PM

Because then I won't have the answer? Looking to FI my XS coupe. Not a lot of information.

Going to close this thread, not your fault Jeff, just don't want the whole GTM thing revived. Sam was banned due to deceptive business practices that cost a lot of members much time & money.
