Stillen Grounding Kit- I can't decide

Hey guys I purchased the (silver) Stillen grounding kit last week for $60 during their special. I have not installed them yet as I will have a buddy of mine give me a quick hand on friday. I'm just skeptical about putting this on my car- with the resetting of the windows, etc. and just overall electronic componentry of the car. I do want a quicker response in the MM shifting esp from 3-2 (which has almost killed me seriously like 5 times) b/c it lags so much! Much more than my G35's MM 3-2 did! But I just dont know b/c its a lease and all i dont want to mess anything up or have them ask me what the hell this thing is when i have them service my car. Can you take these cables off whenever you want without any other problems? Also, in the instructions it lists the following materials are included: 1. grounding cable assembly (i see that), 2. 5 6" cable ties (i see those too), 3. 1 M6 NUT (i see that too), & 4. 1 M6 X 16mm FHCS = i dont know what that is at all i dont think i seem to see it? What does it look like?

dude, it's not difficult to do this. it's about 20 minutes of work for ONE person, the benefits are there, and it's easy to take off if needed, though i can't think of ANY reason to do so except if you were parting out.

put the purse down and just do it!

I didn't dissconnect the battery when I did mine and I didn't have to reset the windows.:2:

Yeah it should be a pretty quick install... And i'm almost 100% positive that Infiniti won't trip on the GK....

They won't know it's there most of the time and some dealers encourage Stillen products. Your fine.

I installed Black Betty's kit, and I disconnected the battery and I must did the Windows reset (Just 30 seconds to reset), but after I did it, I read the manual (as usual) and if I undertood correctly you need to reset windows if you don't leave your doors open, Am I right?, Do we need to the windows reset if we leave the doors open while disconnecting the battery?

Window reset isn't a big deal, why is everyone worried? It takes 20-30 seconds to do.

Just installed Black Betty's 4ga kit and it was so simple my 6 year old son could do it. Took me 10 min going sloooow. I'll have a review tomorrow. Black Betty's kit is somewhat cheaper than the Stillen kit, fyi.

Cheaper as in quality? or price?
It seems that BB's kit is top notch quality.

sredish Aug 7, 2008 12:12 AM

Sorry, cheaper as in price, like $30 cheaper. Quality was top notch, professionally crimped terminals and a great protective wrap.
