Clean a sticky steering wheel

Driving a newly purchased 2010 G37x. The steering wheel feels slightly sticky. It's not necessarily dirty. Are there any safe ways to clean or remedy this situation without destroying or denaturing the steering wheel surface material?

Tried Mother's leather cleaner on the wheel. It took away the stickiness. The steering wheel looks and feels a whole lot better. It's not too slippery either. Mother's also did a wonderful job at taking out white stains in the door panel leather and cleaning up the seats. Thanks for the tip!

After you apply some leather conditioner on the wheel wrap it with a trash bag and let it sit in heat outside for a Few hours the leather conditioner will absorb more in
