what's a good deal for an 08 ?

Hello everyone :thewave:,
After test driving a g37 6mt on sunday I'm hooked :driving:. The dealership is offering me a brand new 08 g37s 6mt navi msrp $43631 for 39000 +++ and of course the 0.9 % . Is this a good deal ? they also said that if I wait for the 09s ,they wont be able to discount anything . They have to sell it for msrp . Please give me advice on this deal before I go and make a mistake . thanks in advance .

Forget the MSRP, and just check what the invoice price was, and make an offer for under that. And of course they're gonna say that about the 09's since the base price went up.

how much lower of the invoice price should I offer ?

That's up to you to decide. I would start out at maybe $1000 under invoice. You could even start out lower under invoice.

cool, I was also thinking 5k off msrp .

got mine 1000 under invoice, loaded and maintanance package for 43000 out the door

im payin 430/month for my g37s white on black, 1500 down just sport package, 6cd changer and moonroof, that on a 2 yr lease with 12k miles/year if you were thinkin about leasing

Start at 1K under invoice. And that talk about not discounting anything is a load of crap. They'll be forced to move them to make room for the '09's.

question , if I wait for the 09s , will the 08s be anywhere around 5k under invoice ? the car will be one year old regarless its new . I'm not going to pay $200 over invoice on a 1 year old car . what do you guys think ? let me know thanks .

Not gonna happen, you can only call the car 1 year old if was manufactured 2007. The model is a year old but the car might only be 3-4 months old.

check my sig. i got mine for 43k OTD. i believe it was a lil over $800 under invoice. not too shabby since im in california. there are more people that got it here for way more than 1k under invoice.

it is manufactured in 07 , let say I buy the car and want to trade in a couple of months . the dealer is going to say the car is a year old .

The model year is a year old, the actual car age varies based on the manufacture date.

I'm not talking about the model, I'm talking about the sticker on the door jam. that says the production date of 07 and the car is an 08

My deal

Just bought Journey, Sport, premium, mats, lighted doors sills for $38,300. List was $42,760/invoice was $38,900. Dealer fee brought back up to $39,000 so I basically paid $100 over invoice after the dealer fee was added in. Two dealers in S. FL threw me off their lots at this price for same exact car so I figure I got a good deal.
