Looks good. Also thanks for the advice I guess I'll leave that sound deadening in ;).

Diff bushing!
This took me about 8 hours because I filled the blown diff bushing up with the 2 part epoxy and that **** was like concrete. I did that to reduce slop and hold me over for 6 months until I replaced. Probably a four hourjob without the stupid epoxy. Note to anyone if you ever even think you might swap your blown diff bushing do not fill it with epoxy to hold you over. It's a nightmare to remove.
cant say i notice much difference because I also put my RSB on max stiff while I was re installing it. Will romp on it and give a review. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.myg...9314b3fc15.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.myg...9c51739b79.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.myg...2de5ffc207.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.myg...00f61521e2.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.myg...a2284a7bf9.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.myg...f0fdd645ae.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.myg...e2f2ea8466.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.myg...56f3575903.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.myg...930127e5da.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.myg...465e95dad4.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.myg...e3910d3031.jpg |

Complaining about age at 33? :eek3: Certainly you're entitled, everyone is because it's all relative. Particularly when you muscle through the kind of projects you take on.
But I have to warn you, once you start complaining about your age, there's no turning back. So it's best you wait until your 40's or 50's. The longer you put that off, the less real it will feel. Trust me, someday it will be genuinely real, and you'll wish you were 33 again. /oldmanadvice |

Well taken man. Definitely good advice. To my defense I've got a bumb knee and two blown discs. I'm sure by 40 I'll have had a surgery or two. Trying to hold off as long as possible.!

Part of the two disc club here. The problem with this bushing is how painful of a position you have to put yourself in to remove it. Add 4 hours of epoxy removal = to 2 hour gym work out.
Thor must be jelous of your forearms and shoulders:D Hahaha ma . No joke. My wife thought I was getting the virus because my whole body ached. I told her I was just working out beneath my car !! |
When I did this over Christmas I felt like I had been hit by a truck. Laying on my back sawzalling extended over my head and then beating on the damn thing with a hand sledge used muscles that, let's face it, I had never really used. Ever.
I got better. LOL then the driveshaft hit me in the face when I was putting it all back together. I swear that working on cars now takes more of a toll and it makes me like gunsmithing a ton more - I sit at a bench. I'm not likely to gunsmith on something I have to lie under. |

I'm really missing the race shop now. No lift - I can't even put a two-poster in the garage I have now as there's not enough clearance, and my bedroom is partly above the garage. Also they cheaped out when building the house and the garage doors are barely wide enough to get through - as in 1-2" clearance total. We're investigating whether the overhead beam is solid and structural (so we can get just 1 big garage door).
This reminds me. I have a ton of extra Arisaka and Mauser small parts to put on ebay. Might be enough for a car part. |
