Swift or Eibach lowering springs for G37S RWD sedan
Does anybody have an opinion on one or the other and would like to share it with me?
Based on the literature on Swift, it seems like they built the springs to work perfectly with the stock suspension. Is it mostly hype or is it worth the extra $100 to get these over the Eibachs? This is the first time I will be lowering my car and just want to do it right. Thanks! |
My understanding is the rates on the Eibachs are higher, which may make them less ideal for stock sport shocks. The swifts seem to result in a more level drop f/r.
If I were getting springs, I'd get the swifts for their linear rates and more even drop. If you also are willing to get Koni shocks, both will work well though the eibachs will probably ride a touch firmer, just based on the rates. |
Thanks for the info. I don't plan on replacing my shocks until the stock ones wear out so it looks like the Swifts it is.

Great. Would love to hear your thoughts after installing them.
Are you going to do a camber kit too? |
They're expensive, I'll get the kits only if I need them. I spoke to Leonard with Swift, he said about 97% of the G37s that have their springs did not need a camber kit.
|
If you can get in spec without them, great. Otherwise tires are more expensive.
|
Yup, I agree.
|
eibachs were great, no camber kit required. i don't suggest going any lower for a DD.
|
The Swifts lower 1.2" front and 1.0" rear, very similar to Eibachs, I shouldn't need the kits.

Here's my G37S with my Eibachs... Overall I love the drop (perfect for DD) and the ride itself is still VERY smooth (with aftermarket wheels and stock shocks).. Hope this helps!

I just picked up my set of Swift's for the RWD Sedan yesterday! I'll be putting them on this weekend and I'll be sure to get tons of before and after pictures for you.

...and here are the Swift springs. Either way you can't go wrong. I'm on stock shocks and I use my G as my DD. So far the ride is smooth.

Bota, were you able to align without a camber kit?

The top two are the front and back before the alignment. The bottom two are after. Attachment 160319[/QUOTE] |
I like what you've done to your car. What size wheels are those and what are the offsets?
