Recently bought a new aftermarket, mesh-style grill that has popped up on eBay (and probably elsewhere). It looks like it comes in either gloss black or some kind of carbon fiber-like print. The grill border and mesh are all one-piece and color.
Ive had bad results with another mesh-style grill sold by a vendor called “CMOD”, mostly due to subpar materials and pretty awful fitment.
This one though, fits incredibly well! It’s a nice fit into the front bumper cover (no issues with gaps), and it lines up perfectly with OEM mounting points (the five holes where the pre-installed bolts go thru the bumper cover, plus all of the other plastic tabs). Overall, very nice product for about $100 shipped. But we’ll see how it holds up.
I plastidipped the mesh section, and added a self-adhesive Fuji emblem from the rear hatch of a QX80, to give the grill a more OEM look.
I know this look isn’t for everyone, but for the folks that like it, this product should fit the bill

Long-tube intake: agreed, I think it’d look pretty cool, maybe really cool. Just tough to justify $500-700 for an upgrade that 1) doesn’t seem to deliver much performance-wise, and 2) requires dremel-ing and/or smushing flexible couplers into the air dams to fit. I’m bummed nobody has designed a LT intake that fits nicely into place
Fuji emblem: agreed, I’m researching which Infiniti models come with a badge that is the right size, that also comes with the mounting plate that will be easily attached the the mesh grill. No easy feat. The Q50 might be a good candidate, just need to confirm that the size wouldn’t be too big or small. For now, the backless QX emblem is what I had on-hand (emblem less looked weird to me). I might also add the little red GT in the lower corner, as well (matches the 370gt badge I’ve got on the rear hatch)
And back to the garage, for another couple of weeks:
Still going strong. Granted I don’t drive very much, but the gloss black plastic has help up very well. Very minimal marks shown from road debris. And the PlastiDipped inner mesh (which started out gloss black) also shows only minor signs of wear.
I think this grill is a great example of a cheap aftermarket part that is actually done right. Fits into the bumper color perfectly and has proven decent durability. Can’t ask for much more for <$100 imo
