Noticed the same thing when my car was about 2 months old, less than 3K miles.

7K on the clock, garaged, 2nd car. This hasn't happened due to UV exposure, rather this is the result of low quality leather wearing prematurely on entrance / egress. Like a cheap pleather sofa.....unbelievable for this kind of $.

Unbelivable! First the ECM and now the Leather!! haha. I've had mine since November, with 2k and mostly garaged. I think i should of gotten an Audi 4/MB C200/BMW3. Lesson learned, pay a few thousand more for real luxury.

I'm going to the dealer for my 1st oil change tomorrow. I have the same exact thing on my car as in the pic at 1,400 mi. Should I adress the issue. But what can they possibly do???? Recall all the cars and reupholster all the seats with new more durable leather .... I doubt it.

here's my driver seat. Barely 1500 miles on it. The passenger side is starting to do it as well. I'll ask my rep about this today.

09 non-sport sedan @ 20K. Cracks showed up as early as 5K. I have been using Lexol and it does help, but still .. my 5yr old Lexus shows little wear, my gf's 3yr old Accord shows little wear (although the leather is not as soft).

I am also starting to notice this on my passenger seat, 1200 miles (and only about 40 of those have had anybody in that seat).

Haven't really looked much at the driver's seat as my butt is usually in it, but will take a look this afternoon.

I have the 2010 G37 Sedan with the Stone Grey Leather interior and it is starting to crease some, but I don't consider that extremely unusual. Maybe a little early but if you are beding it, over time it will crease some. Now if it started cracking then I would have a big problem with it. Only thing I can suggest is get a good tint job with high IR Rejection and Lexol the seats as often as you can. The leather is soft overall, but because of that it does crease

I know people are venting here, but IMO Internet petitions like this with user names rather than actual names are practically useless. Does anyone really believe that 100 signatures on an a web forum thread from people with names like "chiapet69" is going to make Nissan launch a large-scale recall?

If you want results, ask the dealer to make it right, and if that doesn't work, elevate your complaint to corporate.

NO! However, if we can get enough people signed and on the band wagon it will allow ourselves to organize and compile a list with real names and then present those names and Vin numbers to Infiniti corporate.

I have already presented my case to the west coast rep(coporate) and the answer was"normal wear and tear". My next step is the dept. of consumer affairs! The more proof we have will allow us to present a stronger case. How do you think recalls get started.

I enjoy my car but find this to be utter crap for a 40+ thousand dollar vehicle. Its obvious that they used inferior material in this area!

A closed mouth does not get feed.
