There is a TSB out on this, I think - dealers have been replacing people's leather under warranty.

I saw the lexol cleaner at amazon. Is this the protection product?

well, this may be another case of another one of those mysterious psuedo TSBs that infiniti does, like the ECM whine - I talked to infiniti usa customer service about this on the phone, and they confirmed that it was a known issue, and that I should take it to my dealer, exact same thing they told me about my ECM - but I guess no real TSB existed because they didn't want to go around anouncing that a very real and expensive issue existed...I plan to visit my dealer as directed by infiniti and tell them about the conversation and get it done. Replaced, that is....I'll keep ya'll updated - didn't mean to start a riot! Or a lynching, lol.

I did find something for the G35... seems to be a slightly different issue. I'm really not surprised Infiniti hasn't put better leather on these seats.

I think the stuff is as hard as cardboard compared to the Lexus I had for four years. They are using cheap leather that is prepared/coated cheaply, which ends in threads like this one.

Unacceptable lack of quality, and we should all bitch until they fix it.

yup = same here, and I lexol the crap out of it. Looks just like that, just worst. 8700 miles. I think if we can grow the thread, we can get their attention and get this taken care of as well. I am going back to the dealer in two weeks to adress creak and rattles and this leather. I am getting tired of returning to my dealer every month or so for piddly ****.

I was looking at a 2006 C55 AMG, it's interior looks brand new. Great leather + alcantera wearing well, I must say. If it checks out sound and has no creaks and rattles, I may have to purchase a supercharged 500 rwhp luxury demon, lol!

My car has 24,000Miles and is 2 years old you think if I take it to the dealer they will replaced my seats. Even the passengers seats are cracking and they are rarely used.
