We do not support that and no plans to support. You can press Nav/Map button to show your original Maps view on the factory screen. No extra screens needed. HDMI out is for back seat or HUD.

Here is the first raw video on overall responsiveness and operations of the VL2. This is LEX5VL model, but idea is the same

I've preordered the VL2 for my 2014 Q60. Any chance of a CarPlay video, as that's what I primarily plan to use it for?

Just a heads up- there is an app called AutoTether that could possibly connect your phone to this automatically through Bluetooth. It can connect this and any other Wi-Fi enabled device automatically. I am unfortunately/hopefully moving to a Lexus next and will probably jump on this for whatever model I get. The upgraded hardware is key and kind of a no brainer, and you won't need to mirror your phone. Good stuff

I recently purchased a Non-Nav 2014 G37/Q60.

I wanted to know as the GROM Box gets better (full production/non beta) is it worth the money to upgrade the car to the Bose/Nav setup or wait for a potential solution for non nav users?

This is an exciting product and well needed.

My intentions are to add the car play like features to the coupe along with upgraded audio.

Bad Video Quality

I just installed this in my g37 w nav and the video quality is very bad. In the menus everything is very washed out and text is illegible. It's basically unusable in this state.

@Gromaudio Have you added a touch screen functionality to the non-nav VLine set up? Or will we have to use the scroll wheel. Also, any chance of getting the APTX codec for bluetooth streaming over AD2P?

Yes will post a video of it working in few days. AptX will not be supported. We will add AAC and MP3 which are open and supported by most phones.
