Someone else brought this up a while back, but worth saying again. When you get your notice (2nd one) to continue with XM subscription, ask for an additional discount other than those published in their marketing materials and they will give it to you.

Normally a one year sub is $142, but if you mention this site and say you want more, they'll give it to you for $119. Hey, a twenty here, a twenty there, they add up.

 

i got mine for $79 dollars for a whole year.

 

It was posted on here that the Real good deal was 77 a year...

So when do you do this? Right before the trial period is over? Do you call them and what do you say?

 

Did you have to haggle them to add the traffic or is it supposed to be included at that "special" price? I just wanna be prepared when I get that phone call (or email?) in another month.

folks: I got a 3 mos promo on top of my 3 mos Infiniti trial and the $7/mos + 3.99/mos traffic after the two trials.

 

saw that somebody posted they got a good deal and i'm glad somebody brought this up again b/c mine is about to expire....

but should i keep it?? i don't really listen to xm that much but then again 6-7 dollars a month isn't that bad

 

Can you provide the details on how this was done? Did you contact them or did they mail you an offer or advertisement?

 

I did it last week. I waited for the day before the sub. expired and called XM and just said that I would like to take advantage of there $77 a year deal. If they go for it then do it, if they question you try to hang up, call again and try asking that person. You will usually get a different person when you call back.
