JWT intake Install issues!

I just installed my JWT intakes and have a couple of questions. hopfully you experts can help me out!

The drivers side mounted perfectly, no rubbing or cutting needed. on the passenager side it wasnt so smooth. Had to cut to fit it, and it didnt mount as well. The front of filter is touching the plastic above the headlight a lil. Also, the rubber on the side of the filter is touching the bottle with the power steering fluid.

Did anyone else run into these problems??? What did you do to fix it?

That seems to be a normal pattern, I have installed 2 already and have found the same.

However, if you trim the passenger's side air duct, it will helps you a LOT when adjusting the Intake tube. Just loose the long bracket and the OEM black tube brace and then twist and play a little to both sides until you see that the front of the filter aligns the most that its possible with the Air duct, then just adjust back.

As per the rubber on the side of the filter touching the bottle, well, both of my installs are the same, but as you can see it's just rubber not the metal or the tube so that should cause no harm, but if you are in that position right now it means that the tube is almost where it should, just play a little until you can align it better.

Im glad its not just me (This was my first mod installation)

On the passengers side, does the front of the filter(metal part) touch the plastic above the headlight?

I dont want to melt the plastic.

NO, it it shouldn't touch that plastic piece, altough it gets closer than the other side.

Just leave everything mounted but loose the screws (2 screws and the OEM tube) and just force it back a little, you are not suppose to need it, but try getting some help so while you force it back (remember to align the front of teh filter with the Air duct) then somebody else can adjust the 2 main screws to keep it in position, then just adjust the OEM tube. I needed to do this with my buddy's intake but not with mine, weird ehh?

If you are a complete newbie in this mods, 45 mins tops, removing the OEM intake and installing this one, and that will be reading carefully the instructions and going slowly in the process.

I don't know, I'm not a PRO by any means, and I did my first one in 45 mins, and it was reading the instructions twice and taking my time in the process. But I had my buddy here and he helped some.

Second one (Mine) it was done in 30 mins. BUT, yep, you may be right, if you don't know what you are doing at all, then between removing OEM intake and reading the instructions (You should) and installing the Pop- Chargers, it may take you more than 1 hour.

Any blade with a good handle will do, also a thin knife. It's a rubber piece. (OEM Air duct)

Is it possible to install w/out trimming? I don't want to trim anything if I don't have to.

^When you are installing it you will see that you can install without trim, BUT, if you want the best positioning possible for the filter, so he can get more air, you need to trim. But the idea of trimming might sound frightening, but it's just a small piece of the rubber (OEM Air duct) that nobody will know if you do it, even more if you install back the OEM intake, it will get cover by it.

I did what you guys said and re-adjusted the passenager's side, its not touching the front plastic above the headlight.

While I was down there I seen that the hose from the power sterring bottle was touching the black padding of the heat shield. Is this fine or am I just being paranoid?

That's just rubber man, you shouldn't have any problems, the idea is not to let any plastic or hoses touch the tube or any metal piece from the intake.
