You have a long but REWARDING journey ahead of you my friend hahaha. I was soooo close to selling my ark and buying the gthaus setup before purchasing my z1 Hfc. Then my bank account statement and college tuition came in and made me forget what the gthaus is..

One day... I will own a Gthaus regardless of what car it's for. Haha

Yes, I haven't got an opportunity to hear it in person but I love the sound of it in the videos uploaded on YouTube. (I know it will sound better in person)

I'm sold on that exhaust but currently have a buyer for my car. If this sells, I'm grabbing a 2015 Q40/G37. (Don't understand why I still prefer the G over a Q50 but I am sure I'm not the only one)

Something to keep in mind, GTHaus full setup paired with RHFC extremely loud and very raspy also I could be heard a mile away WOT (not exaggerating). It wasn't fun tryin to drive when police was around so I ended up cutting my $600 midpipe and added two resonators.

I had the motordyne art pipes, fitment was good but I have heard many others especially on 370z forums complaining about fitment problems and the left and right pipes fitting and hanging differently. I kept getting the CEL with the art pipes so I tossed them out for a set of fast intentions double resonated test pipes which cost about $500.
I'm also running the fast intentions exhaust which I purchased years ago for $1250

Didn't know exhausts have become so expensive these days , can't you get akrapovic for $2k price range?

I ran through four sets of art pipes that had issues. For the money there is better options

FWIW I had a Motordyne ART pipes + TDX2 setup on my G35 coupe and it sounded absolutely sick. Probably the best sound for a VQ. From what I've heard on Youtube the V36 sedan version sounds pretty similar--nice and growly. Although I prefer a more subtle exhauast on the sedan, the Motordyne fit and finish is top notch.

I'm running ARK Grip on mine, sounds really nice gives it a deep and throaty sound, it could be a bit louder but for a daily driver its nice. Mind you I got mine used and would have a hard time justifying paying that much new. LoL

The funny part is, it was suppose to be more expensive ($140). But due to having trouble taking out the demon bolt, we had to reschedule and I had to come back again. He wanted the PB Blaster to soak a little and also, he needed a cutter for the bolt. He felt bad I guess so he knocked off 20$ and boom, $120. Well worth it cause the demon bolt looked like a PITA!!

Also took pictures of the install from under the car so I will post a thread when I have time.

Very true... The ARK was not as loud as I imagined but it did consist of the deepest tone to my ears personally. Hence, the reason I got it. After installing Z1 HFCs, I think I should have gone with RTP's or TP's, but I was afraid of the CEL. + Im in CA. Maybe after my next smog, Ill sell my Z1 and get FI RTPs.

Just curious how much of a sound difference did the Z1 HFC's make?

I wonder if changing the resonators that came with my ARK to 12" Vibrant resonators would make a difference as well?

Well, I'm the type of person who loves cammed v8s, jus to give you an idea of exhaust sounds. But I also understand this is not a v8 and I can't achieve those sounds. So I grabbed the ark for being the deepest sounding (personally). If the loudness with just the ark from stop to 3-4k rpm was say, 7/10 and WOT was 7.5/10. Then with the z1, from stop to 3-4k would be about a 8/10 and WOT is 9/10. Gthaus is like 15/10 and stock exhaust would be 4/10?

Sorry for this 2nd grade answer .. it's early in the morning 😑

And as for the vibrant resonators, who knows. It's all a ball game with exhausts.

Edit: didn't change note really but just amplified the current exhaust tone by a little. Just a tad. There is increase in rasp but the rasp doesn't annoy me... Yet.

Yes! That's what I said the first time I heard a full, tuned ARK exhaust. The Helmholtz resonators at the cats and tips created this lumpy burble that reminded me of exactly what you're talking about.
