Talked with the installer today. Valve body is not back from Level 10 yet. Was sent a week ago today. Other than that, it's supposed to be ready for the dyno. Anticipate picking it up on my first free weekend 23-24 May. Getting as excited with anticipation as when my old GF got an augmentation! It will be a whole month driving my 2002 Elantra. I'm ready!

Looks great! Although that's probably the dirtiest engine bay I've ever seen. .. Maybe time for some Spring cleaning once you get her back and have some time to enjoy all the new mods! LOL

Looking great. I have seen so much dirtier under the hood. I am excited for you. Do you plan to take it to the track to get a 1/4 time? after confirming it is running well?

No, I'm not taking it to any tracks. I'm just gonna drive it. 60 mph roll-ons are really what I would do. It's gonna be my winter ride soon. Too nice to get rid of, but it is 5 years old. The blower will make it more fun. Got a little Veloster turbo this week. Hyundai is heavily discounting them. They are funky-looking and really are fun to drive. Extra car for a year until the new 370z / Q60coupe turbo / Genesis coupe turbo come out, then the little turbo will go to one of the kids. Yes, I'm that old! And yes, I'm gonna clean that engine bay too! Hope I get to pick up the G this weekend. They plan to dyno on Wednesday.

Awesome. Really excited for you. I always liked the Veloster's.. really good looking car IMO.

Can't wait to see your car all completed (and with a clean engine bay :-). I bet you are getting really excited. Please make sure to update us on how everything works out.. I'm really curious to know how the Level 10 tranny mods turn out, as my GTM SC is really causing shifting issues witj my 5AT tranny.

Really did you have the trans line pressure upped when you have the car tuned. You shouldn't have any issues ?

Yup, increased line pressure and valve body upgrade when I did the GTM SC install. The factory clutches in the tranny for 3-4 and 4-5 gear changes just can't handle the power so the first time around I was getting major slipping on the freeway especially when in 5th gear. Infiniti replaced the tranny under warranty saying they had seen many problems with the clutch packs on the 5AT trannies, so they didn't even question it. But now I'm starting to get slipping on the 3-4 shift again and it seems the 2-3 shift as well. So this time around it's probably upgrade time so I can feel comfortable that I have a transmission that can handle my 459 RWHP. The auto tanny is definitely a known weak point in our cars especially when going FI.

So guessing you didn't get it yet or it's so much fun you haven't had a moment to share it with us.

Every week I'm supposed to pick it up but the tuner has been doing other thing. Went to a week-long conference/show in Canada. Last week he had to go to the hospital because he got sprayed with hot coolant while tuning another car. Finally got the call that it's all done! Picking it up Saturday. Said to shift very well with the Level-10 valve body. Don't have dyno numbers yet. Toured the shop early in June when I was scheduled to be in town. Install was done, but the tune wasn't. The shop was pretty big. They had about a dozen cars in the garage, on lifts an on the floors. They do mostly Mustangs and Nissan. Saw a twin-turbo 370 they were working on. A new Mustang was getting a big blower put in. There were about as many cars in the fenced in area behind the garage. They all looked like really newer, well-kept cars. The prize was a GTR they built that they were doing some routine stuff on. It was built for full-race.The inside was laid bare and had a cage. The engine was very modified with lots of-non factory stuff inside. I was told it had insanely high HP, but they number quoted was so high I won't repeat it here because I don't believe it. Anyway, I've been bummed because their Nissan guy has been taking so long. I am supposed to have 2 tunes installed. Regular and valet mode. Valet mode only goes to 2,200RPM. This would for sure be useful. I've been off of this site because I didn't have any news, but now it's ready and I have a 6-hour drive with it to get home to check it out. I'll post some pics and impressions. One thing I saw at the shop a few weeks ago--they cleaned up the engine bay I have come to love that little Veloster turbo though. I reminds me of my CRX and how I wished it could be.
