My group received the public copy a few weeks back and we've been doing some stress testing. The OS is more secure than 7 & 8 and Windows finally did something right. I migrated all my systems in a lab with Windows 10 and the users are impressed.

Albeit, I'm still not convinced. I've been an avid Mac user since the original eMac in 2003. Since then, I've had the original iMac in clear orange, Powerbook G3, Blackbook 13" (black macbook from 2007), Macbook Pro 15" from 2009, Mac Mini Server from 2011. Now I'm left with a 27" iMac for development and Macbook Pro. Have to say, I'm a bit of a fanboy.

Also I picked up a few of those new Mac Servers for some work projects. Boy are those things cool.

Enough of a techno-geek side bar, as I'm sure I could go all day with Rochester, lol...

If anyone is interested in attending the 2015 Sedan Meet in central PA, Saturday August 29, please PM me for details. Let's make it a fun event.

I'm sure you could bury me in moments. I'm a Business App programmer, and it sounds like you're a Tech. Two completely different things.

A little bit of everything really. I do in-house dev; one recent project with building apps for our new company Windows Phones. Outside of that, I'm a pentester and would rather be breaking systems and telling folks what they did wrong and how to fix.

Definitely two different roles.

And I do dev in my house. (LOL) Working from home is awesome. It's a beautiful freaking day today.

BTW, Windows 10 boots so fast, it freaked me out a little. That's surely a welcome change. However, I'm none too fond of the default UI changes. Everything is a little too bright, fat and flat for my liking. It's almost like they're taking the less-is-more concept to an awkward extreme.

Anyway... re. cars... I hit a long off-ramp late morning, threw it into 3rd and opened it up for a short stretch. Afterwards, as I'm sitting there at the light, some guy in a Pontiac Solstice Turbo rolled alongside and motioned for my attention. He was just a normal looking dude, in his 50's (like me.) Grinning ear to ear, he said to me, "Do you have any idea how awesome that sounds?"

So that made my day.

IDK about that, Connor. Granted, the '81 Turbo T/A wasn't much to write home about. But I've a friend with a Saturn Turbo Sky (same as Solstice), and that's one fun little roadster.

The 1989 TTA (Turbo Trans Am) was a beast.

I bet a solstice/sky with a tune would be a fun little car.

So is the G37 "sneaky" fast? Every now and then I will lean into it a little and either I see my passenger grab the door handle or my wife will tell me to slow down. I don't know but it really doesn't feel fast to me. Should I forget the visual mods and go straight to the performance mods? I don't want a 10 second car or anything but I want to get thrown in the seat pretty good. Maybe you get use to fast rides?

What you're noticing is that power ramps up on the G in a way that's best described as linear. So yes, sneaky-fast is an apt description. Your G is certainly faster than either of your Maximas, but don't measure that with a butt-dyno.

Those things are actually surprisingly stout, the ecotec turbo that was in those has been in a few things, and they make some pretty crazy power with not much more than a tune and some basic bolt ons.

Last week, my TPMS came on a half mile from the house. I turned around, went back home, and discovered the driver's front at 25 lbs/sq inch. So I pumped it up, and have been worrying about it ever since. Checked the pressure twice, and now it's down from 33 psi to 30 psi.

Realizing something has to be wrong, I took the rim off the car and inspected the surface. No nails, no issues. Then I sprayed it down with soapy water, and sure enough found a small puncture right in the middle, very slowly bubbling at the hole.

So I guess I know what I'm doing tomorrow.

Took the front passenger side off, too, just so that the front end could be in balance with 18" duckfeet and snow tires. Passenger front is fine, 33 psi, no leaks, no debris.

Surprisingly good tread, too! Wait, I have a tread depth gauge, LOL. Both front tires are each evenly at 7/32" tread depth. The out-of-the-box tread depth on Michelin PSS is 10/32". And I'm into my second summer with these tires, at maybe 6000 miles total. That seems pretty good, IMO.

Tickets are just another form of taxation. Tax for going faster than what's deemed lawful.

Signs on exit ramps indicate a certain mph, but don't say speed limit. So if exceeded by say 2x, would that be ticketable.....hypothetically speaking of course.

I always considered those exit sign limits as "Suggestions" IMO.
