OP: it would be helpful if you told us the brand and sizes of your current tires b

If you want a high performance tire with lots of grip, I doubt you'll get much more than 12-15,000 miles a set out of them.
I replaced the potenza's with Michelins PSS's since they were a buy three get one for free. While the Bridgestone's seem last forever they don't seem to be wet weather friendly with rear wheel drive cars. I had a miata with those tires and the rear would spin like crazy taking off from standing still; also a lot of sidewall flex during Autocrossing runs. Now on my Porsche Cayman they were ok in any weather, though they feel greasy on track days.

Stock wheels and tire size.

They only problem I note on the PSS's is they want to be at a lower tire pressure (36 psi) on the street to get a more positive front steering feel. Also, I noticed the other day, they don't like going over drawbridge grating(we have lots of drawbridges here in Tampabay) it really shook the car, luckily I had both hands on the steering wheel!

When I bought my '09 vert used it had Yokohama's on it and they are so LOUD!!! On some roads they sound like the wheel bearings are grinding! They ride ok but the noise is irritating to say the least...

Bought mine used and it came with a new set of V12s. Good for speed / handling, but pretty stiff / loud. I will probably try something a little softer as the next set as I have no plans to track / autoX this car (looots of body flex without the roof :/).
