Does anyone have really big brakes with 18s? I'm at a car show today and a dealership has a really stupid good deal on wheels that I've been wanting but they're 18x9. They should clear the Akebonos but I don't know if it makes sense to go slightly more narrow on a coupe. Plus I want these brakes as a pipe dream eventually and it would be nice to know they fit.

Front: 19x8.5+43 225/45
Rear: 19x9+30 245/40
So you’d actually be gaining a half inch of width up front and wouldn’t be changing the rear width (if you are coming from stock sport 19s on the 11’+ MY). If you’re coming from OEM 18’s (18x8+43 IIRC) you’d gain 1” of wheel width going to 9” square. As the poster before me said, offset is more important to focus on at those widths. You will want to go between +15 to +30 offset for a 9” front on a coupe to clear BBKs without worry (depending on wheel face profile and what style fitment you prefer).
Check out willtheyfit.com and play around with different widths and offsets to give you an idea of what/how much things will change going to wider wheels with a different offset. Excuse me if you’re already aware of that site. Hopefully that helps some.
