Did Road America in the G. RSB from sport?

I got a chance to get the G on the “Big Boy” (Road America) Track this weekend and WHAT a time!Car was just awesome. The 7SP in DS mode was incredible; it seemed to read my mind (single downshifts on braking, double downshifts on brake + Turn). My laps were actually more fun just leaving it in that mode.
Anyway, being that it’s an xS, so the under-steer was pretty prevalent.I’d like to balance it out a bit.
So, my question to anyone who is using the “Sport” Rear bar on an X model:The addition of a stiffer rear bar can typically lend itself to over-steer.Had anyone who’s done the upgrade AND had it on the track notice any unpredictable traits?I prefer over-steer as long as its predictable.
If you haven’t taking your G on a Road Course, you are TOTALLY missing out!!!

On another note, the car is faster than hell after the track session. I don't know if I "blew the carbon" out or what, but it pulls stronger now than it EVER did!! :-)

Nice man! Going to track(1/4) where I am next month. Car is faster or feels faster because the ECU learned those driving habits. I rip on mine daily so it doesn't drive like Miss Daisy, LOL

There is stretch between the Carousel (Turn 8) and the Kink that she was pegging 7000 RPM for at least a minute, the trans was just holding that RPM. It was killer.

Have a great time!!!

Sounds like an awesome time. To those who are more knowledgeable than me, is the ECU training to driving habits a feature on the G37 or does every car do that?

IIRC, more and more car companies are using Adaptive ECU's to help increase MPG's.

You are from Chicago? You should hit RA bro!

That stretch of the track is a double Apex, I was probably going 75-80, but maintaining speed (didn't really care about the speed, more of a feel thing), but the trans didn't want to upshift, as soon as a went through "The Kink", I went WOT, the trans bounced off the rev-limited and then upshifted.

The trans in this car is very very smart... I loved the double downshift on brake plus turn. Plus the rev-matching made the transition so smooth. Chassis didn't lose it composure due to an abrupt trans downshift. I head a lot of other Auto's make the traditional buuuuWaaaaaaa downshift when exiting turns. After the run, the guy behind me ask me, I thought the "X" models didn't come in manual. I told him they don't, but in sport mode, the transmission rev-matches, gear holds and will pull into redline!.

Nice to hear some positive comments regarding the 7AT under track conditions.
Looking forward to some track time next spring
BTW, how much was it to run that day?

Yup, live in Chicago. I've been thinking about testing out the G on a track and was going to hit up Joliet, IL racetrack at some point. RA looks much more fun though and I suppose it's not too far away.

I wish I knew of some quality tracks around the NE Arkansas area. I did some online searching but only came up with dirt tracks or closed tracks. I'm only 45 min from Memphis. Any ideas anybody?
