Ordering Forgestar F14's today... need advice!
 

I'm getting ready to place an order and need some help with the off sets. Car is a 2013 G37 sport sedan (white) and stock ride height (will not lower more that 1'', if that). Looking to run an aggressive 18'' staggered setup with the biggest rear tire I can fit and preferably 28''. Need to be able to run 0 or -1 camber...looking to plant as much tire as possible

Gun Metal or Bronze Blast on a white car - I have a headache trying to decide...lol
Front - 18x9 +30 semi concave w/ 245/45/18
Rear - 18x10 +50 deep concave w/ 295/45/18

Any advice would be much appreciated!! Thanks....

Also need recommendations on lug nuts, lol.... too many options

For lug nuts, Muteki SR48s work well, are cheap, and come in a bunch of colors.They also have a short splined version, and both are steel. Just make sure you get them in M12x1.25.


Don't have a sedan, so can't speak to what you can fit in the rear, but a 295 fits a little better on a 10.5 inch wide wheel. I know you want a taller rear tire, but your traction control and ABS and a bunch of other things are going to give you **** for it. I'm not well versed on if there are any workarounds for this other than disabling those systems entirely.

The 245/45 is correct for approx. OEM sizing (26.7 inches tall), but the 295/45 in the rear is nearly two inches taller than the front (28.5 inches). If you want a wide rear, a 275/40 (26.7 inches) or a 305/35 (26.4 inches) is a closer match to the front.

Not sure if your car is a sport model, but just make sure whatever face you get for the fronts clear the brakes - your vendor should know or be able to find out for you.

It is a sport sedan (rwd)... im ok if the rear tire is a little bigger. I'm looking for a slightly raked stance, I think a smaller tire in front will help actually. I think I have the front figured out... but Ive been told a 10.5 wont work in the rear. I'm waiting on a response from the vendor. Appreciate your input

Why is that?

I went with 19" Forgestar (different style) wheels, but the offsets and tire sizes below are perfect for the sedan:

F - 19X9 +32 245/40/19
R - 19x10 +45 285/35/19

Since you are going 295 width, +50 for the rear will put the tire's outside edge in the same place as +45 with a 285, but keep in mind the inner clearance. I would go with 285/40 so your speedometer is not inaccurate. 295/45 will be a full 1.5" taller

Could be a Journey, or a Journey with the Sport Package, or a 6MT. Among other things, the latter two have a limited-slip rear differential, whereas the base RWD Journey does not.

None of which has anything to do with your question, except maybe for whether or not you have the BBK... I get that. Just saying, rear wheel drive all by itself doesn't mean sport, FWIW.

10.5" rear wheels can work on the Sedan, but you'll have to be really particular about the ride height, the offset and the camber. 10" is easier to work with.

I've always liked the Forgestar F14, in gunmetal, with some concave.

What is the difference between a Journey Sport and a Sport? I believe it is a Journey Sport

"Sport" wasn't really a sub-model, just an Options Package. And two different packages, actually, depending on whether the car was AWD or RWD. The 6MT was its own sub-model, too, but if I recall correctly it was just called 6MT, not Sport 6MT.

If you have the RWD sport package but an automatic transmission, then yes, you have a Journey with the Sport Package, or "Journey Sport" for short.

I want the extra height if I can fit it... not that the speedo is a huge deal but isnt there a way to adjust the speedo for gear changes? Ecutek?

Not sure if there is a way to adjust the speedo, I would assume you can't.

With the tire being 1.5" taller, you would need to make sure that tire will fit in the wheel well without rubbing (especially at 3 and 9 o'clock). You may find it rubs even without lowering, but I have not tried so I do not know for sure. Generally you always want to use the same diameter (or as close to it) as the factory wheels/tires.
